Mr. Kurt's approach has been to emphasize critical thinking not memorization. I think that lessons with Columbia School of Music has helped both our kids pick-up math, spelling and problem solving skills. They are both well ahead of their age group in both math and written skills. Mr. Kurt is good with kids and has a firm and well honed process for teaching music; there is an intentional method to his lessons. You have to find a music teacher that your children feel most comfortable with, but you won't find a more capable teacher than at Columbia School of Music.”
