“12-29-2020 Tuesday lunchtime. While driving down airline highway I saw this location and decided to stop. I’ve never been to this location before. Overall the food did not taste bad and it had a decent presentation. I think it was a bit on the pricey side for the amount of food you get and the overall taste. I’m thinking if a side came with it like fries or something it would have been a little more filling and or the price wouldn’t have seemed as bad. Overall it was not a horrible experience and I would return to this location. I was a bit disappointed when I found out there was not homemade sweet tea.”

“This is the best place anyone can eat at, especially for the valve and quality of the food. Although they are not open regular hours like other places around the area the food is worth the wait. Normally I would have to go out to the Metairie area or further to get good quality food, but not anymore. I’d recommend any of the burgers, blacken chicken, fried pickles, the steaks, and sweet potato fries.”

“I have never had a bad order. The breading on the catfish is crusty and delicious. Some of the best tasting catfish I've had in LaPlace. As for preparation let me give you an example. Today my order was for pickup. Abraham, the owner, came out to me and said he didn't like how long my shrimp had been out. He cooked fresh shrimp for me and threw in a couple of extra shrimp. And their shrimps are big. Fried okra and fried pickles are fantastic. Crab cakes are the best and a meal in themselves. I highly recommend, and without reservation, Sam's Southern Eatery. Great food. Great folks.”
