“Ya'll just don't know what you're missing! Nobile's is an iconic southern restaurant located just 1 block from the Mississippi River. Residents in St James Parish frequent this place weekly, as in individuals making it a place they visit to eat every week. Families are the main stay. They are known for several local dishes (ie: Butter Beans & Shrimp, Oysters, Crab Cakes, Specials.) Eating or drinking at massive antique bar is worth the experience. There is never a stranger in Nobile's, only someone you haven't met yet. Anyway, my absolute fav meal is the CHICKEN CAESAR SALAD WRAP with ONION RINGS with a friend. You get the whole salad in 2 wraps & their caesar salad dressing is homemade and worth the visit. It makes it perfect to share with a friend, too. Oh! The onion rings are homemade, too. Then to top it off ... another homemade item ... a layered pudding coconut cake topped meringue called BaBa. Tell 'em Sherett (from the White House) sent ya to try everything they have on the menu, especially the Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap, Onion Rings and BaBa! And they get GOLD STAR 🌟”

“Omgoodness the cashier was a real help and she pride in her job. You could tell. If she having a bad day she wouldn't allow it to interfer with her profession. The store was very clean. She was very helpful also in telling about the lottery tickets . There is a restaurant on the side called Griffin No I never worked at that Griffins but I have worked the one in Houma so I would recommend if you're down there to check out the place they also have some benches that you can get great sunshine.”

“Went to the Laura Plantation late in the daytime, and as we were heading back to the French Quarter at 5pm we stopped here. They had just opened and the Crab St John appetizer is delicious, had the Roast Beef Poboy, wife had the Shrimp Poboy, also order the Mahi Mahi. All very delicious. Overall very good food with excellent prices.”

“Got the fried seafood platter (Shrimp, Catfish, and Oysters for $27) with Onion Rings as the side dish and everything was delicious! The shrimp and fish were cooked to perfection and the onion rings were thick cut and fresh. Had the bread pudding for dessert and it was unique, with cherries and other fruit in it. Pretty sure there was some apple in there with a nice cinnamon taste. We went for dinner on a Thursday night and were seated immediately. The service time was average and the waitress was friendly. Would highly suggest coming here for good seafood and that hometown feel atmosphere.”

“I've been wanting to try this place for years. I mean YEARS, but always just ended up passing by... Today was the day to finally give it a geaux, and I wasn't disappointed! I wanted to try the burger and chicken so I had both. Why not? Both were seasoned well, hot, and fresh. I called it in and picked it up at the window... The windows is for call-ins only! I paid twelve bucks and some change which wasn't bad at all... Sorry I waited so long!”

“This small town gem has some delicious offerings! We came to the area for the day and stopped here for lunch. We had the crawfish boil, fried shrimp, the lunch special which was fried catfish with jambalaya and white beans. We also had the pecan pie and a mint julep, it was ALL delicious! If you're in the area, don't hesitate to stop by for some authentic local and delicious home style cooking!”
