“I have frequented Rio Grande in Berea, KY for many years now, and it has cemented itself as the go-to Mexican restaurant in town for a multiple of reasons. The food is delicious, cooked quickly and comes out as you ordered it, rarely have I ever had them make a mistake as someone who both dines in, and takes out on a semi-regular occasion. One of the highlights for me is the staff, everyone I have encountered has been extremely kind and it gives a very welcoming atmosphere. The only downside is the price, which I feel as though is a bit too high considering the amount of business they get, and the fact that there are more competitors coming to town.”

She was friendly and efficient. She also walked around checking on the guests like a waitress instead of a cashier. “Today we decided to try a new restaurant just outside of Richmond that I had heard rave reviews over. Dos Hermanos is located in the same building as the BP Station, but don't let this fool you at all. This place is my new favorite Mexican restaurant! Very clean inside and the food was better than everyone had described. I had the Dos Hermanos Special which included a grilled chicken breast, grilled steak, special seasoned grilled shrimp on a generous bed of rice with California vegetables. This meal was only $14.99 and was a huge serving. The steak is thin, but very tender and full of flavor. The chicken breast was seasoned and cooked perfectly, but the highlight of the dish without a doubt were the 6 scrumpdullyishous shrimp. These were absolutely to die for! The dish was topped with queso sauce which made every bite even better. My wife had the shredded chicken chimichanga which came with rice and beans. This dish was only $9.99 and was one of the best chimichangas that she has had in a very long time. There was a very generous serving of chicken inside and the flavor was out of this world! There is a very wide variety on the menu and I cannot wait to go back and try something else -- but it will be very difficult to change from what I ordered today. Don't let the fact that this is in the same building as a gas station prevent you from coming here. There is a separate entrance and it is completely separated from the gas station. Again, very clean, excellent food, fast and friendly service. We will return again and again! Without a doubt, the drive is definitely worth the difference.”

“The Boone's Trace staff might just be the friendliest folk in any golf club I've visited in Kentucky. I find a warm welcome in the pro shop jumpstarts my round before I've started onto the tee box. The new layout of the course on the front nine works well and eases players into the round, leaving those treacherous sloped fairways until later on the front. Greens are quick yet manageable. Fairways are neat and crisp, though the onslaught of the sprinkler washed out the most prized area on 14 at around 5 o' clock, making a clean approach more difficult. The rough is worth staying out of. You'll be rewarded for greens and fairways perhaps more than other, flatter courses in Kentucky. The club has done a lot to continue to improve the experience playing here, including updating the carts, which now have accurate GPS systems that track all the distances you'll need on your round. Food and bev are tasty and reasonably priced to boot!”

I purchased the Pumpkin Spice Latte Hot and it was nice and strong, not over powered by the sugar or syrup like the usual way its made. I also got The Sunrise which is very delicious and healthy. It's a wrap with egg, cheese, your choice or ham or turkey (I always get turkey) and more. It's to die for! My personal favorite!”

“Fat Man Reviews recently made its way to Better Burgers and More in Richmond, KY. Better Burgers serves home-cooked meals at a reasonable price. I wanted to sample the Biscuits and Gravy. The gravy is made using the bacon dripping. It is silky and has good pork flavor, but it desperately needed some salt. The biscuits are brought in fresh every day. They are a bit dense and not super fluffy, but they offer good texture with the gravy. My fiancé had the Cheeseburger and fries. This is served with a 1/3 pound burger, American cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle. The burger was seasoned well, was juicy, and had a good crust. The cheese was melted correctly, the bun is toasted, and the veggies were fresh. Her fries were cooked almost to a great crisp, but they required salt. I tried the Tom's Spicy Burger and fries. This is served with two 1/3 pound patties, grilled onions, jalapeños, special sauce, lettuce, tomato, and pepper jack cheese. The bun was toasted well, the burgers were seasoned, crusted, juicy and cooked perfectly. The cheese was melted and the veggies were fresh. The special sauce did not have a lot of flavor. It tasted like a spicy mayo. The spiciness could be turned up just a bit and there needs to be a little more sauce on the burger. Better Burgers and More serves breakfast all day, with several options and lunch entrées consisting of burgers and sandwiches. They also have daily specials. The service is great. The Fat Man says that Better Burgers and More is Fat Man Approved with 2 chins.”
