“Back on 4/12/24, I was heading to St. Louis Children’s Hospital for my daughter’s appointments, and as luck would have it I hit a huge pothole and popped my tire about 2 hours from home and only 30-45 minutes away from the Children’s hospital at around 7am. Gary’s tire got us in as quickly as possible, found a good tire to throw on the car, and got us on our way and we were still able to make it! And while I was willing to pay whatever it would take to get us back on the road, he didn’t try to overcharge, take advantage, or anything of the sort, I believe he actually cut me a huge deal which I will forever be grateful for. I will never forget the act of kindness and even though he’s 2 hours from where I live, he will 100% get my business from now on! And I will recommend him to anyone around the area! “It’s an old easy to get to hotel prices were fair I think it was $63. If you’re into historical things it’s also a spring natural for you to bathe and soak in to heal your body. Very quiet staff was very friendly, a very rustic, explorer, type feel so if you’re up for an adventure to something that you’re not used to staying at it was a very nice place”

“Hadn't been in for at least 6 months or so, the place was packed! We sat at the bar, salad bar was pretty good 👍🏻 I had the walleye dinner, and she had the shrimp dinner. Both plates were as good as I remembered, everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try.”

“Dr. Brammeir is very professional, but ye compassionate. He always takes the time to make sure im comfortable and never does more tgan I can handle. Also, his bedside manner is class A, not only does he remember without looking at my chart, but he is very nice and respectful to my family. I have felt an improvement after every visit. His appointment hours fit most schedules and i made a mistake one appointment. He not only fit me in, he was very nice about it. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone and everyone!!!”

“On my way to Indiana .. Car started to over heat, looked up auto repair shops and saw Streuters was just down highway .. Car thermostat was high but I chanced it and made it ... Kevin saw the problem .. reservoir tank ( next to radiator ) had become unreliable.. he got a used one installed it and had me back on the road .. and no problems going on trip there and back home days later. “Our new favorite store when passing through Illinois! On our way out west, we stayed at The Original Springs Hotel in Okawville and found CBI next door just before closing time. Their staff are friendly, their meat is AMAZINGLY yum, and they sell local homegrown tomatoes that were so good, when we were driving back home we made sure to stop in again.”

He gets to know you and treats you individually making the experience of getting a haircut fun. Beyond his haircutting ability, this is what makes him a great barber. As a man who is balding, he gives me a great hair cut that makes me look cool. It is hard to find a barber who knows how to deal with your head and this really comes out when you are balding. He gives me a great cut on my beard. I am glad he is my barber. I recommend him to anyone in Okawville or who wants to experience an old school rural barber.”
