“Recently a group of seniors and I visited the restaurant and Christi was our server. She is a gem. She went above what a normal server would do to take care of my residents, helping them with the salad bar and making helpful recommendations on what they could order for dinner. We recently visited another local restaurant and were not treated the same (quite poorly actually.) So thank you Christi for your kindness and sweet personality. All of my residents were smiling all night and that is pretty special.”

“Great Marina. If you are looping don't miss the river talk. It was very valuable and I was much better prepared. The staff was excellent helping us in when we arrived and there pump out at our dock was really convenient. It's a walk into town, but we enjoyed the exercise and used Uber to get back. Nice for it town. Good stay for a few days.”

“It was a Thursday night, and Smiley and I were driving my rig up I-80 when we decided we needed to recharge. We pulled into this truck stop. The first thing we noticed was that the clock on the tower was wrong. So it didn’t quite give off Big Ben vibes like they got over in London. We get inside and it’s a rather spacious setup. Great selection of snacks and beverages. Plus various novelty decals for your rig. I already have a big number 3 with a halo and angel wings in honor of the late, great Dale Earnhardt on my Kenworth so I passed. We grabbed our milk and our candy and we’re about to blow this honkytonk when something captivated our attention — the glimmer of the slot machines conveniently placed right by the exit. I looked over at Smiley and we knew what needed to be done. There was one game in particular that really caught our attention: Gorilla Chief. We decided to give it a shot in honor of Harambe. Unfortunately, the Chief ran our racks down after about 20 minutes of pure enjoyment. This ain’t it Chief. However, the Chief did teach us a valuable lesson, and that is that sometimes it’s not about the licks you hit financially, it’s about the licks you hit in your heart.
