“I had two contractors work on my gate and they did poorly on them. So I went on yelp to have contractors call me back. After some saw the pics they said it would be too costly which mean they didn’t know what they were doing to me. Most contractors want an easy straight forward job but charge you a 2nd mortgage. But Harold from H&A called me and was up for the challenge. The awesome thing is he came the same day and he was upfront with all pricing and what he needed to do. He gave me an extremely fair quote. He came on time and he showed me everything he did. He did an awesome job with what I had and he didn’t give up. He also didn’t charge me more. But get this! After the job he FOLLOWED UP not once not twice but THREE TIMES. He even came back out. Who does that now a days. If your looking for a master welder who knows everything about fencing and someone who has been in business for over 25 years who is licensed and insured this is who you go to! Note: I wasn’t compensated nor did I receive a discount for posting this.”

“Just be aware of the Porterdale Police! They sit there in the Burger King parking lot right beside the store, just looking for people they can harass. They also sit across the street at the Shell Station. It's really horrible and just plain wrong! All of the local businesses agree that it is a major problem and is very bad for business because many people who are aware of this problem will not stop there. Many people also say that it's very risky just to pass by there while driving on hwy 81! I definitely appreciate and respect our police officers who are out there doing their jobs and putting their lives on the line to PROTECT and SERVE us everywhere across this country. But unfortunately, there are a few out there who just like to abuse their authority by harassing and bullying innocent citizens. This location I am referring to is right there on the edge of the small, historical city of Porterdale, where they will look for a reason to pull you over, and then find any reason they can to write you a ticket! For example... Maybe you're just simply driving 2 miles over the speed limit. Or possibly for no reason at all. It's just sad and ridiculous! And it's been going on for too many years and way too long! You can ask anyone who has lived in Newton County for a while and they will verify what I'm saying. Or if you want to take the chance, just go to Burger King and sit down and eat, and as you look out the window for only a few minutes, you will sadly witness this injustice that occurs every day. I can only pray that I won't get into trouble or be "punished" in retaliation for this post. But I believe in doing the right thing, and speaking up and informing innocent people who are not aware of this. That is the only reason why I don't feel like I should rate this store with 5 stars. The employees who work there are great people, and are very friendly! Good prices! And they are conveniently open 24/7.”
