“This is a hidden gem! We found it 30 something years ago and keep on coming back! It gets better every year! Beautiful private resort! Spotlessly clean , quiet, bay front resort. Heated and cooled pool. Beach is raked every morning boat friendly with docks and boat ramp. Room to park your boat trailer. All rooms I think 19 are spotlessly clean and accommodating. If you need something they will get it for you! It’s not a hotel. You have your own cabin / house/ room. They and a 2 bedroom waterfront suite and a couple more. Never disappointed. Will continue to come here(wish I owned it). Nothing bad to say. Some of the best trips of our life. Check it out. Very hidden and off the path. You won’t regret staying here!”

“Casa Rio is the perfect place to getaway and enjoy yourself in Islamorada. The cottage sits on a beautiful property on the water and has a protected dock for a boat. You'll love it! If you get a chance, try to get Sam to take you on a tour of the island on her boat. She is very knowledgeable about the area and it's wildlife, and Just a pleasurable person to spend some time on the water with.”

“I really like this spot! Just a few miles in when taking the road to the keys. The private beach is great for the kids. As long as you are consuming in the restaurant you can be there. They close at 4 the service on weekdays and 6.30 on weekends. But you can stay at the beach. Prices are affordable and the food is very tasty. Also very good service!”

“We had an ocean view room, clean, quiet, and walking distance to a restaurant and jet ski rentals. Having a vehicle is a must, whether it's your own, rental, or Uber. Staff was polite and pool, hot tub, was well cared for. There is a private "beach", kayaks, fishing rods that you can use free of charge. Over all it was a great stay”

“We stayed here 4 nights. All I can say is, it's an oasis. No one bothers you. You can opt for daily room service if you want but other than that, you pretty much have it to yourself. The rooms are spacious and clean. They have kayaks and paddle boats to go out on the water. Great sunset's every night. Large pool and hot tub. Perfect for a romantic getaway.”

It's also down the road from Robbie's if you want to feed some massive fish! There's a nice park (Founders) near by with a beach, there's a few stores and nice bars in the area too. The website pics don’t do this place justice - hands down the most perfect little spot, from the just right private beach to the sunset views to the cleanliness and hospitality, we can’t wait to come back! The free Breakfast was perfect every day and we were able to use both our grille and kitchenette so we could stay onsite for our meals and soak up the resort as much as possible… absolutely loved this perfect place and will definitely be back!!! “This was my first time to the Keys, so my girlfriend and I stopped in to maybe get a map and possibly some ideas. Instead, what we got was Michael. Michael spent the next 30ish minutes walking us through all the best attractions on the 1. More impressive than his knowledge of the Keys was the fact he was able to write upside down while maintaining conversation. He provided us with an incredible map (see photos) with an abundance of info, again all written upside down and by memory. Michael, if you see this, you absolutely made our trip 100% better. “This ground campsite is a day or two kayak trip away from Chokoloskee and Everglades City. A free standing tent is (almost) required because your tent is setup on a dock-like structure and tent stakes don't drive well into the dock. If you are creative, you can use rope or twine to tie each side of the tent to the end of the boards. There were two picnic tables when I was last here and there is room for at least 4 two-person tents. We fit three one-person tents on one side of the dock structure and could have fit another. You could do the same on the other side. It is totally peaceful out here, and depending on the time of year you may catch a beautiful sunset. Make sure to bring everything into your tent at night. There are mice living here that will fight over whatever you leave out. You'll hear them at night under the boards as they fight over what the camper before you left behind. Dolphins and alligators also frequent this site. This is a great spot to get away from it all as you head down to Flamingo.”

“We stopped in Key Largo for a few of hrs on our way to Key West and we’re pleasantly surprised with this stay. At the price point, we assumed it was a 3 star stay but it was great! The room was 2 floors with a bathroom and a half. The balcony overlooked the canal with live music just across the water. The staff was all wonderful and the room was so clean. “My fiance and I booked a private charter for a weekend. The guys at Morning Star gave us a Catalina 22’ (vessel name Key Largo Cottage). We had the pleasure of witnessing manatees swim beside our sailboat rental. It was truly a joy to sail it over the course of 2 days. With our ASA certifications, the bay was a delight to navigate. Many sailboats are anchored, and the waters were filled with people who love the ocean. The team gave us all the equipment and info we needed. Waking up each morning and seeing it docked at our property pier helped make our wedding weekend a dream come blue. Next time we’re in the Florida Keys, we will most certainly support Morning Star again.”

“The service was the best I’ve seen in a decade. Everyone was as nice and friendly as they could be! Fantastic location. You can’t beat the sunset views (see photo)! We used the dive boat for two days of diving. It is very convenient to walk out of your room and get on the boat. Also, the rinse tub and dry locker was a great amenity. The crew on the dive boat were also phenomenal. Super friendly, informative and helpful. Fun times on the boat. Great crowd. They genuinely seemed to enjoy their job. My room was newly remodeled, fresh and clean. The A/C had no problem keeping up. The only knock I can say is the walls are a little thin and you can hear neighbors slamming doors and hear their probably too loud TVs - not really the hotels fault. Want to go back in the future.”

“We stayed for 25 days… we called to reserve for this many days and they found us seven different spots! We didn’t mind moving as we met and made many friends. This is an “Old Keys” park with many long term residents and many RV spots. Bigger rigs will find it challenging, but when “Michael” is working you will do just fine fitting into your spot. The beach area is really nice…. with accommodation of chaise lounges and chairs. Sunsets are unbelievable.😎”

Throughout booking Jenn was very communicative and when we arrived was very welcoming and helpful in making our stay feel like home. The amenities provided by the property is unmatched. The snorkeling around the waters is beautiful with mangroves just a short 20 minute kayak trip away. The staff is all very laid back, helpful and friendly. The key lime sailing staff truly creates an experience I feel cannot be topped. Any trip taken back down to the keys will be spent right where we spent this one. “After having to deal with living in a Sun Communities neighborhood it was such a pleasure to move to this neighborhood. The ownership is accommodating, responsive, friendly and actually cares about their residents. Hate that we had to leave the area and should we return we will be looking to come back to one of their locations. As with everything there were issues but they were dealt with correctly and in a timely manner. I really did not expect the owner to show up at 10pm on a Saturday to unclog a sewer line for us. Got it handled and replaced the drainage pipe the next day. Great people, great location and great residents. Hope to be back someday soon.”
