“FRESH & DELICIOUS!! My wife & I were visiting Capitola for the first time & dreaming of an affordable, delicious meal to enjoy during what was shaping up to be a gorgeous beach sunset. We found Mijo’s on Google & saw the excellent reviews. It was perfect! Just a few steps away from the beach and the decor was very pleasant. As we stepped up to order takeout, the chef was excited to serve us and gave some helpful suggestions. I got the shrimp burrito & my wife got 2/5 tacos. We also had some fresh-made chips, salsa and fresh-made guacamole. Oh, and their salsa options are incredible! If you’re in Capitola & was some delicious Mexican takeout, we highly recommend Mijo’s Taqueria!”

“Best Thai place in town. The spice scale is perfect. The customer service is 10/10 polite and attentive. I saw some old reviews complaining about the service but I just can’t imagine that here. Every time I’ve come by the people here are so kind and always asking questions to make sure everything is OK without being overbearing. The food service is timely, not slow, and everything is seasoned SO well. NOTHING is bland or overdone, I can’t believe I have to say that. But I’ve tried places in town where it IS bland or TOO sweet. Definitely worth a try if you’re hankering for Thai!”

“I have lived in Santa Clara California for 18 years since I married an American. Many weekends we go to different areas of the bay, Capitola is one of my favorites, especially in summer. We go to this restaurant for lunch as soon as we arrive, the atmosphere is incredible. They have many tables inside a very spacious room, but I like the terrace facing , where there are always seagulls and other birds. Well behaved dogs are welcome =) the quality of the food is excellent: Is Californian & Mexican cuisine. I recommend start with or the calamari, so good. In winter the clam chowder is superb. If you like margaritas, the mango one is fantastic.The staff is friendly, professional and the service is fast. I highly recommend this place for a fun moment with good food.”

“Gabriel catered our wedding - it was absolutely fantastic! My wife and I have been stopping by his food truck since then. When Gabriel is working the food is always top notch - some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. we went to the location in the mall at the food court and it was crazy expensive…. For not a lot of food. The food truck is way better.”

“Was walking around Capitola and spotted this place, and I'm not one to turn down a good hot dog. When reading the menu with my girlfriend, the man at the counter was making suggestions, cracking jokes and just making the experience a totally fun time. Ended up getting the foot long for myself and my gf got the normal beef dog. The amount of toppings available was great to see and the friendly service really made the experience great. Next time I'm around, I will be sure to snag another foot long at this place.”

“Great little dive spot in the Capitola main beach area. We always walk from the Seascape village in Aptos down to Capitola and this is our go to spot for lunch. Always friendly staff and the tacos are pretty solid. Pictured is the prawn tacos and the mahi are delicious also.”

“I come here just about every morning for the same exact coffee and it's pretty darn consistent. I am not a connoisseur by any measure, but I do enjoy a nice solid Americano with a splash of soy milk and cinnamon first thing in the morning, oftentimes when I'm walking. The staff knows who I am and on the rare occasion it's not just right, they fix it without a problem. So grateful for this experience so close to home.”
