Blue Sky Ecological Reserve

Beautiful place to hike and enjoy the scenery. Lots of wildlife and plenty of parking. Don't forget your sunscreen and water!

I almost consider this a neighborhood park given how close it is to RB and Poway. Good covered walks that are easy to do if you have pets. There is a speed limit of 5miles per hour, so no running and you have to be leisurely in your walking. Remember to pack a jacket if your going there later in the day as much of this is shaded.

Chose this hike after a heavy rain as the trail and road don't become muddy. Nice hill up to the dam!

Great part of Poway, you can start from the Blue Sky trail and take it to the west side of Poway lake, and continue north to potato chip rock. I like to come here, hike to the lake and spend some time there, and then head back for a casual hike.

Walking through the oak groves is always enjoyable
