“Authentic Italian Bakery! How did I miss this place?! So unassuming, hole in the wall bakery tucked in the corner of a shopping plaza. The pictures speak for themselves. Delicious and authentic. Don't come here expecting American style pastries or sandwiches. It's amazing and the quality is there! I've been to Italy, husband is from France so his expectations are always high when it's an European bakery. He loved the Italian sandwich and Italian ham especially. As for the prices, it's on par with the quality, did I hear imported Italian flour?! Yes. Italian family owned bakery where you hear them speaking Italian? Yes. Cute Italian mom and dad hanging out in the bakery? Yes. You can't get more authentic than that. My new favorite local bakery.”

“I'm here once every two weeks for lunch. Fast service, even when it does get a little crowded at lunch hour. I normally get a carne asada rice bowl, and the thing is PACKED. I definitely get my moneysworth. They don't flake on the meat or toppings. Plenty of guacomole. I usually get a side of chips to dig into the bowl, and it's a filling combination, which is saying something - I have an appetite working 12 hr days. At least a dozen salsas to choose from. Several meat options. Wide variety of drinks to but I'm stuck on the horchata. I get it to go most of the time, and it's still hot when I reach my destination. Even the chips are still warm. The place is definitely worth a shot.”

“Walking up to Bob's was like walking into a movie. During the holiday season it's very picturesque and the atmosphere was awesome. Greeted at the door with smiles and cheer, the restaurant itself has an old world feel to it. The staff were great, they seemed genuinely happy to be there. The food was what you would expect from a place such as Bob's. Well prepared, presents nicely, not flashy and delicious. My filet was perfectly pink and the glazed whole carrot was delicious as were the mashed potatoes. It can be tricky getting to the restaurant and parking is limited unless you want to walk a bit. Highly recommend the valet and get your ticket checked at the restaurant.”

“I held a Bridal Shower for my daughter here because Fresco has been one of my favorite places to treat my family on special occasions or a date night with my husband. The cabanas were a perfect spot for a ladies brunch. The valet took great care of our party right from the start on a busy Saturday of Summer. And the restaurant let us in right at opening to decorate two cabanas. Kylie was our server and I was so happy because she was wonderful to me when I came in for a quick bite/drinks to scope out the upstairs location before booking it. The upstairs bar is fantastic. On the day, we were well taken care of and never rushed( I’ve never felt rushed in over 10 years of coming to Fresco). We ladies had a great time and the food and drinks were delicious. Kylie was great at getting us everything we asked for. My friends and relatives were very impressed and count me lucky to have Fresco in the neighborhood. Oh and the Brunch Pizza is outstanding. Thank you Fresco. You made my daughter’s special day wonderful.”

“I've eaten at this restaurant 5 times now and it keeps getting better and apparently the word is out. The first few times we went there were very few people eating but this last time we went they were packed. Their prices are pretty darn good but the food is great and a nice ambiance. So far we've had the fish burrito, chili relleno, chili relleno burrito and carnitas. The chips are fresh and crispy with a great salsa. We just keep going back and our friends from Encinitas came up to join us for the second time. Also, I had a great margarita. Fresh lime juice.”

But you can dial down the healthiness if you want with some neat sandwich choices, and what appear to be really good looking desserts. Great for kids who are picky and great if you want them to eat healthy as well. The closest comparison I can contemplate would be Flower Child and this is a nice change of pace and compliment. “This place is new to the area and I was quite curious to try it. I ordered Pad Thai with shrimp, which for me is a key test of whether I will like a Thai cafe. The serving was quite good and had 6 shrimp. The serving size was ok for lunch, although it’s a little less noodles than I would typically get elsewhere. But the flavors were excellent and food presentation was nice. In other comments, the interior decor is modern and interesting, they played good music, and the utensils had a brass finish which looks a little more elegant. The main drawback, which I pointed out to the hostess, was the cloth napkins have lots of lint and even small particles of something. So that is one aspect needing improvement. But overall, a good choice for lunch that I would try again.”

For this trip, we had the chicken parmigiana and the meatball subs. Their red sauce is excellent. The sub rolls are the perfect consistency - soft on the inside with a slight chew on the outside. (Always gets an extra side of sauce for dipping). The chicken parmigiana portion was large, came with a side of bread, and pasta. Small establishment with some inside and outside seating. Large menu selection of entrees, pizza, calzones, salad. Everything you’d expect from a mom and pop pizza restaurant. A must stop.”
