“I was shocked how incredible their food is! Absolutely loved every bite! As a black woman with my roots in Mississippi I’m VERY critical of Soul Food/BBQ restaurants. Up to today, I felt “no one can Que better than my gramp or uncles” and “no one cooked better collard greens, okra, cornbread or sweet potato pie than my Nanny or Aunts.” Yet This place did just that! The Que was AMAZING and the collard greens (forgive me Nanny) were better than hers! This place is now my favorite restaurant in Sacramento/Placer County and I will be back regularly!”
