“This place had the best value when I looked for a weekend trip in a busy touristy season. It was a cozy, friendly and convenient stay, 5 minute walk to King’s beach, which was free and nice for a late afternoon swim. The rooms are dated, but clean. The shower was hot with good pressure. The towels were clean but a bit old. We had 3 fans for the two rooms, which worked for we are not there during the hot days and the nights were cool. There was a small room with board games and ping pong. The manager was very friendly and helpful. The pool was not working. There are tons of shops, cafe’s and restaurants within walking and short driving distances.”

“Being Italian I rarely go out to eat Italian food unless I'm in Italy! I order eggplant everywhere I go because I love it. Lanzas served a very generous portion that was lightly fried then baked with a side of spaghetti. I also order meatballs everywhere I go and these were just like homemade with a huge scoop of sauce, enough to dip your bread into if you were still hungry. Amazing wine list, interesting calamari(it was flat like a pancake). Do not order the Prime Rib because they only have one pan??? Well we did anyway and it was cold. Owner was amazing, service was impeccable and I will definitely devour some more of their meatballs in the near future.”

“The very helpful, professional and caring pharmacist here is beyond wonderful. She recently caught a mistake in a prescription and continued to help me as 3 UCDavis physicians wrote slight different erroneous prescriptions before the 4th of July holiday. She also helps me fill prescriptions from any Rite aid quickly. She is a gem and the reason i drive to Rite Aid in Kings Beach from my home 20 minutes away.”

“Such a delicious spot is Lake Tahoe! Great atmosphere, great service, and delicious food! A bit pricey but it’s expected! Very vegan/vegetarian friendly! I ordered the wet burrito, with veggies instead of meat and no cheese or sour cream. I also ordered salsa and chips as an appetizer! It was a super filling dinner and it’s beautiful since it’s outdoor seating area! We ended up going two nights in a row of our trip, will definitely back next time we’re in tahoe!”

“Unfortunately, it seems a lot of dental practices nowadays are just there to make a buck off of people and don't really care about patients or providing good dental care. In contrast, Dr. Henderson really seems to care about and do right by his patients. He took time to recommend at-home procedures to prevent problems. He resells Rx toothpaste and Rx mouthwash at cost; I've never even heard of this before. He is knowledgeable about insurance (rare!) and even told me which insurance will cost me the least instead of pay him the most. He is a valuable find and well worth the 45 minute or more drive.”

The market inside is amazing, stocked with traditional mexican brands and a meat counter in the back. For the Taqueria, you order outside and the wait can be long so I suggest ordering ahead or on the app.”
