“Captain Bob is an enthusiastic, charter boat skipper with a 44 foot Pacifica Sports Fisher watercraft in pristine condition. He's licensed by the Coast Guard and LA County both. A fisherman, he understands fishing and knows where to find where the fish are biting. Best of all he's good company, essential for cruising Santa Monica Bay, whale watching and even longer trips to Catalina Island. He's also discrete and respectful when called for such as when scattering ashes at sea as he did for the former Commodore of Single Mariners whom I knew well.”

“I highly recommend booking with The Duchess Yacht. It was an absolutely amazing experience! We sailed away Marina Del Rey and cruised the Malibu coast . Our captain and crew member were so kind , helpful and awesome! We enjoyed delicious Hors ‘d oeuvres , beer, wine, champagne and coffee. It was absolutely fantastic ! A beautiful romantic mini cruise where magic happened at sunset . It’s so gorgeous inside too. Very relaxing . I would absolutely book again .”

“I had and amazing time learning how to sail for the first time. Ben was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and patient with me as I found my sea legs. I highly recommend them for private lessons.”

“We didn't sit in any lines, or sit in a crowded restaurant on Mother's Day waiting for a meal that I didn't have to cook. We drove to Long Beach, all 10 of us to board a gondola and were fed an amazing Italian lunch on board. The gondoliers serenaded with surprisingly amazing voices. I had the BEST Mother's day lunch with my children and grandchildren and everyone enjoyed it! When everyone is happy this momma is happy! We'll do it again!”

“I love them!!! I did the "basic" and was the only one in my class, but the female(super fit) helping me was super polite & very good at explaining to me how to keep my balance with different scenarios(wind, sting rays...yeah, there were a ton out that day), etc. She was VERY patient with me & watched me from shore...to make sure I got the hang of things. I was surprised at how easy things were. Also, the guy who answers the phone, Tim(?), was super helpful & polite. This is one of those companies where it seems everyone was trained to be people focused & they generally are just professional, happy, & patient people. Thanks!”

“I got the sunset cruise as a gift for my boyfriend‘s birthday. I expected it to be nice but I have to admit it was just amazing. Very friendly host, great wine, exclusive Hors d’oeuvres. Couldn’t ask for anything better.”

“We chartered a yacht to Catalina through Los Angeles Yacht Charter for a burial at sea for my mother. Captain Joe and First Mate Mike were incredibly kind and supportive, not to mention quick to offer anything we needed, and told us great stories about past trips whenever we wanted to hear them. They answered all our questions, gave us several options, and when the time came they gave us all the time we needed to carry out our final goodbyes. After they showed us around a sea lion beach and gave us time on Catalina. We got back later than planned and they never complained. The value for the money was also extremely good, with a gorgeous 70-foot yacht for a charter fee that probably wasn’t much above the cost of the fuel to get to Catalina and back. Whether you are looking for a burial at sea or something more fun, I can’t recommend this group highly enough.”

“My husband and I were lucky enough to sail with Charters 2000 just this month. The boat was well maintained and docked in a very nice part of the Marina. We had a nice tour of the Harbor on our way out to sail. We saw sea lions, lots of seabirds and even a dolphin.....right in the harbor!!!! Once out into the open ocean, we kicked back and listen to music and enjoyed the view all along the coastline. It was a beautiful Fall day. They provided Kayaks and Paddle Boards and we even had the option to get in the water, but we opted for the comfortable feelings of just sailing along, soaking up the sun and relaxing. The Captain, Gustavo was fun and friendly and we would use them again in an instant. It looks as though the boat can take quite a few people above and below deck so I image a Birthday or Family outing would be perfect. We were very pleased with everything from getting in touch with them, to saying good bye to them after our great day of sailing. 5 Stars!!”

“Such a great experience! Chris was a fantastic host - and was very knowledgeable about the area and even taught my group a few cool pointers like how to search the horizon for signals of dolphin activity! He knew exactly how to find them. We had dolphins all alongside the boat, it was amazing. Couldn't have asked for a better time and I'd suggest The Blue Moon Cruise to anyone looking for a special day on the ocean!”

“Parasailing was such great fun. The two instructors were great throughout the whole process. Only downfall are the couple of workers in the booth. We waited for quite a while, and the lady managed to service another customer who arrived after us (they were in another queue). They should have asked "who's next?". Staff should have acknowledged and said "we'll be with you in a moment". Would have made our experience much nicer. Hopefully this review gives them some feedback for future customers.”

“We had a fantastic time on the KJAZZ Brunch Cruise! The food was absolutely delicious, with more than just a fruit tray for vegans/vegetarians. The staff was attentive without being pushy, and they certainly kept the champagne flowing throughout the entire trip. See if Montana is working and try to sit in his section; he went out of his way to make our experience the best it could be.”

“I had the best time with this company!!! They were so awesome from the beginning to the end. I had about 22 people for a sunset ride and it was amazing! The food and staff was so nice. Would definitely do it again!!”

“Marina Del Rey Christmas Boat Parade is why we went today. It is a very nice area for watching the boats decorated with Christmas lights, trees, inflatables, characters, elves, snowmen, carolers, etc. pass by as they loop around the Marina several times. This gives everyone an opportunity to find a good spot to take photographs. Parking was the hardest part of the evening because we arrived right at 6.p.m. when the show started. There were fireworks at 5:55 p.m. and events throughout the day. I am definitely happy to have visited the Marina today.”
