“Finally, a nice bakery in the valley! The cashier need to speed up a little--I guess, she's new like almost everyone at this new place--but other than that, the bread is delicious. I love the chocolate bread filled with cream cheese. Milk bread was nice. The broiche is soft and chewy on the inside, and the top is just hard enough and sweet. The best drink here is the sea salt coffee cold, it's very different from the usual stuff down the ways. I think the prices are reasonable for what you get. Boba is okay, not the best, but good enough. Anyways, I'm glad 85 degrees is finally here in the valley, and can't wait for the Century City one to open soon.”

I’m not typically a cake person but the cakes are perfectly soft, the whip cream subtly sweet, and pistachios add a great flavor. The shop is very charming. Parking was easy to fine. Tom, our server, was patient and professional, going through in details the sharing style and recommended many dishes. What was greatly appreciated was his consideration of our appetite (ordering too much?) and timing. The sommelier is also professional, knowledgeable, and helpful considering our preferences. Every dish is a creation of dynamic flavours and contrasting texture using fresh, interesting ingredients. Baguette is delicious too (must order). Venue can get noisy. As for parking, street parking can be challenging, valet is easy ($15).”

“Very popular place each morning for good reason, the couple there are very nice people. The food is also delicious. I got the number 4, ham, egg, cheese and sausage crissont sandwich, very tasty. The crissont is huge. I don't where they get these from. Makes for very satisfying breakfast. Be prepared because of the popularity you may have to wait. They also have doughnuts, great selection of fruit smoothies, of which I tried the wild berry. Delicious also, very refreshing on a warm day. I really like going there because the owners are so nice.”

The two women who served us were friendly and had glow of real happiness on them, which is almost spooky for Los Angeles, but all the more remarkable because of it. The food was very good +- I had the chilaquiles, My friend had the heuvos rancheros, and they serve up a beautiful warm bolillo, which made me wish I could come back and sample their bakery in a more systematic fashion. the chilaquiles were very good but my bar is very high, unfairly so, I reckon. I think the HR were good too. I very much liked their unsweetened cafe olla, which I think I ruined by putting in half and half in a fit of distraction. Well it wasn't ruined but it would have been better without it. And I love what they did to make the sidewalk seating a friendly grotto like porch -- a pleasant oasis of character in this pretty bleak commercial neighborhood. I'd return again if I were for some reason in the neighborhood again...”
