“We had a fabulous time at White’s Landing, a restful secluded cove not far from Avalon. The variety of things to do, from the inviting turquoise blue water to the chaparral-lined rugged coastal trails, offer fun for all ages: snorkeling, kayaking, hiking and hanging out in hammocks to name a few. “This was an awesome experience! Kylie, our guide, truly loved the ocean and wanted to share that love and excitement with us. She made the comment that she loves “giving people a ‘drivers license’ to allow them to explore the ocean.” So much fun. The snorkeling wasn’t incredibly tropical like my first thought is when I think snorkeling, but there were SO MANY fish and cool things to see none the less! Price was really good for the quality of the experience and we would do it again.”

“We had a lovely stay at Hamilton Cove unit 17-78. The views were amazing and the cove was quiet, relaxing and peaceful. The complimentary golf cart made it so that we could go into town no problem and enjoy the best of both worlds. The unit had a spacious kitchen that allowed us to cook meals and eat inside or on the deck when we wanted. Highly recommend staying here. (Bison from ecotour - not at Hamilton - but cool nonetheless)”

“A small company with BIG service. Rafael and his wife were MASTERS at this. It was an overcast night, so the sunset was not available to us, but the time on boat was easily the best time we have had in Catalina. A small group went with us and they were all gracious and kind. The water was smooth, no need for motion sickness issues, the snacks provided kept coming out and it’s BYOB, so everyone had everything they needed. If you do one thing on the island, this is your thing. They will even let you sleep on the boat if you want to stay ( they live elsewhere ) We are brining the kids back in a few months!!”

“I had a private refresher course with Gus on my trip to Catalina. Gus was very thorough and helped me get re-acquainted with the scuba world. He was patient as I took my time acclimating to the cold water and then we had a great dive through the kelp forests looking at the residents. Gear was well maintained, the scuba park was spectacular! I left the water feeling confident again!”

“They were diligent with fitting snorkeling equipment and providing instructions before heading out. Wet suit was provided. The guide took time to explain to my BIL what he should expect as he could not swim. He guided us to see lots of different fishes, one huge school and lots of plankton. Mid September, water was warm and clear in lovers cove.”

“The old turner inn is the accommodation that you must try if you want to have more pleasant & private vacation in Catalina. Great location, Nice people, Extra clean room, Real homemade breakfast. Stayed 3 nights on the last week of Oct. and Kathleen was welcoming us with warm heart and Roger was helping us everything perfectly. I can only say one thing for sure the old turner inn is not an ordinary bed & breakfast inn but more like a home sweet home. Sorry Kathleen, we did not say goodbye to you when we leave. I will see you soon.”

“Absolutely fantastic! I made my reservation over the phone, and the staff was helpful and answered all my questions. Ron himself was our guide for our dive through the kelp forest, and he was patient, informative, and accommodating. He is an ideal person to operate a scuba shop and work as a local area guide, and I am confident that the rest of his team follow his lead. The shop is nudged on Pebbly Beach Road; look for the "Snorkeling Catalina" sign above the entranceway, and the red "Dive Moore" banner on the side. I've included a photo of shop's exterior. After you register your paperwork, they will give you the equipment that you need and drive you over to Casino Point. Everyone is different with their air, but anticipate to be under for @ 45 minutes (give or take) for the guided kelp forest dive.”

“My sister and I had fun parasailing while in Catalina. We met the boat on the green pier by the Fish and Chips place. We signed a waiver and the friendly crew took us out. We didn't go far before they started letting us fly. We paid extra for the SD photo card and got some great photos in high res. We even saw dolphins! That was so cool. It was breezy but not cold and it's surprisingly calm when you are up in the shoot. The take off and landing is exciting. It's safe but a thrill! We will be back. Thanks.”

“This is a very informative tour of the cove. The boat isn't glass bottom but rather has a several three foot by three foot windows in the bottom with bench seats around each window. The tour guide is very informative and pleasant but sort of hard to hear over the sound of the engines. The tour includes the option to buy a sack of fish food for $5. You can drop the food in to the water via a portal next to each window that stuff really attracts the fish. Some people on the boat were complaining about the cost of the food, but come on complaining about a single $5 bag of fish food that will make the tour better for your entire group while each person was holding $5 bottles of water?”
