“I had a friend from out of town ask for “healthy food” for lunch. There were so many delicious and well presented options here that we both had a difficult time choosing. Once we made a choice, the waiter offered us an additional option that was even better with crab! We took his advice, and we both ordered the Double Rainbow Sushi Bowl. The watermelon lemonade was delightful on a hot day. The food was very fresh - especially our greens. The crab salad was the perfect protein and it was surprisingly light. The atmosphere was perfect for two friends catching up. My friend was delighted with the food. The wait staff was extremely attentive. We will definitely be back.”

Set up of the restaurant felt almost like a fast food place but more elegant/elevated on the interior- there are no waiters you order at the front and pickup food at a counter. “I placed my order online at California Pizza Kitchen, Walnut Creek the previous day for pick up and overall had positive experience. Since I chose to pick up my order at 11 am I arrived 5 mins in advanced. I was pleased to see that the place opened minute by minute sharp at 11 and I was welcomed in by manager. I got my delicious whole red velvet cake(12 peaces for $70+$6.48 tax) sealed and securely packed in a carton box and a paper bag. Parking is easy in the garage next door or street parking $2 per hour. Interior is fresh, spacious, clean and modern. Only concern that a girl/cashier could’ve been friendlier. Anyway I can’t wait to come again and dine in to try their pizzas.”

Would highly recommend Beef Dry Chow Fun $19.95 (flavorful mix of beef and noodles) with authentic hot sauce they have on each table. Top it off with Special Pea Sprouts $21.95 as veggie side and get Salt & Pepper Calamari $10.95 (came juicy and tender) appetizer. Complementary tea, and there goes your excellent, healthy dinner. “Finally tried this place for lunch. Seated quickly. The waitress was attentive. Bread came out with the Regina salad. The salad was different for me, considering the couscous, but very tasty. Large portion so we shared it. He ordered the lasagna which was also a surprisingly big portion. A little underwhelming in the flavor department and there was a soft, almost creamy cheese on top that we couldn't identify. I ordered the seasonal gnocchi dish to try, but with pasta. The sauce itself was not enjoyable. The waitress was nice enough to let me order something different. I went with the linguine mare pasta with a little extra spice. Loved every bite! “Today I found a new place for tacos. I got two crispy chicken tacos and one crispy fish tacos. I got the order to go, and it came with tortilla chips. What I really liked is that they added three different salsas to my bag, which were delightful. Check out my photos, as each taco came out perfect. Shrimp was still hot when sushi arrived so it was fresh as to be expected. Warrior roll looked pretty for sure. Good flavors pretty mild. It's nice they stay open when every other sushi place closes at around 3 or so. Not too expensive so coming back when I crave again.”

“I needed to charge my Tesla and went by the inside road just to get a feel for Walnut Creek. Plaza Escuela buzzes with activity and is a prime location with great restaurants and shopping. I was impressed by the parking design as it did not make the car go in circles the full width of the parking floor and then turn for the next floor. The car drives much short to find its space! To top it all, most spots other than valet are free!”

“I finally got a chance to check this place out. I have a friend that lives out in Oakley and will travel to Walnut Creek for this place. I now see why he does. My son and I came a little after 5. Not a lot of people, and of course that was preferred on my end. We ordered the basics. I wanted to get a feel of the flavors and portions, since it’s my first time. Everything hit the spot. The portions and size was perfect. The service was attentive. Food was delicious. Fresh, everything came out hot. Right out of the steamer/fryer. 6 items plus tea was just under $50. Not bad. When I paid I told them that we will be back and that my son loved their food. I never tell any restaurant that I’ll be back. But this place, I’m coming back. If you’re in the area, please check them out. Great mom and pop shop. Will start supporting their business. Great feel.”

“I loved this place. First time and will go again. The menu has many healthy options, gluten free, low sugar... great pastries. I had their oat pancakes and they were delicious. They are only offering outside seating right now, and it was a bit cold and windy, but not unbearable. They do not take reservations and the wait was pretty long, but we were in no rush so waited patiently. The wait staff was very friendly and didn't take too long to bring out the food. “I was craving a great bbq sandwich & y'all didn't disappoint. My husband & I were going to order online but I we decided just to go in in & order. We arrived & I believe the young man's name was Jason, very friendly & welcoming. Expedited quickly less than 10 minutes. We were planning to eat outside but it was one of the days where the air quality was unhealthy & falling ash. My sandwich was HUGE! I only ate a quarter of it & was absolutely yummy!!! My husband ordered the blazing hot & a tad disappointed that it wasn't blazing hot like he was expecting but it was still a good sandwich. We also had the side of the beans & potato salad & they were both very tasty!!! We will be back.”
