“In the Winter of 2006 I was homeless in Tucson, living out of my burned up (albeit still running) 1989 Grey grand Marquis. I didn't mind being homeless and the freedom it offered. I never begged or pleaded for help from others, I rather enjoyed it. I was taking a nap in my car outside of a Laundromat while my clothes were drying when one of the members of this congregation invited me to this church. I attended and the pastor invited me to stay on the grounds. I slept in a bed and spent my time in the youth hall reading God's word, singing and learning how to play the saxophone I had picked up at a local pawn shop. I ate the oranges from the tree outside which are DELICIOUS, I called them manna. This was pointedly the most peaceful time in my life, and I have never said thank you until now- THANK YOU! Praise the God of our Souls and the Earth! Bless you all!”
