Lyall Bay Surf Life Saving Club

Did you know that they have some beach wheelchairs you can book in or go to life guards and use one if available to take your child with a "disability" or less mobile for a bit of beach fun. They are the Hippo beach wheelchairs. Low to the ground, so unfortunately I cannot use it as I can't get that low anymore. Once upon a time I could. The joys of over 1,000 fractures with brittle bones disease (osteogenesis imperfecta) and cerebral palsy displegia combined. So if anyone would like to purchase an adult type beach wheelchair to leave at the surf club for public and would like advice, happy to help. I used to have my own, but no longer .....sad 😭 story. Thinking of selling my van for something cheaper, (I bought not government funded) to do so. In hindsight another wheelchair would serve me better.

Perfect venue for birthdays weddings etc. New facilities, clean and beautiful views.

Fabulous facility for an event of any kind. Kitchen is very user friendly and well stocked with all crockery and futlery requirements. Fantastic site manager
