“On a road-trip with the buddies from Milwaukee to Janesville and this was the type of place you want to stop in the winter. Classic Wisconsin back-bar and a fun group of people in there. BIG real wood burning fireplace takes up the wall and really warms the place up (not to mention the smell taking you deep in the woods :) ) Bartender treated us well and the drinks were solid and prices were on point.”

“We were with friends at Evergreen Country Club last Friday night for their Fish Fry. It was okay if you enjoy all you can eat "family style". Not really our favorite. The cocktails we had were good. The best are their warm Bread Basket & Potato Pancakes. Cold Slaw good. We had some Fried & some Baked Fish. It's just hard to keep food warm when served in this manner. Also dining is in one big room so doesn't lend to the best ambience. The service was good. Thought one thing was strange. When we asked for extra rolls the waitress asked us how many we wanted so they wouldn't be wasted. Odd thing to say, we thought. Think it is a popular place. To each their own.”

“Very helpful and gracious service...with a personal touch...by the fireplace in the Como Room. Generous portions with great flavors. German cuisine is authentic....spatzil is a wonderful choice alternative to the pasta that might be offered with the main course...meat or seafood options. We are a definite and frequent repeat guest, and love to introduce new friends to this cozy venue overlooking Lake Como, across from Geneva National. Valentine's Day atmosphere included live soft music with candle lighting at all tables. PS...dining on Thanksgiving Buffet was to die for...again, this year!”
