“Fantastic tour!! I booked this mostly for my husband’s sake but we both thoroughly enjoyed it! Our tour involved only one other couple so we were small enough to all be able to fit in the rooms and look closely at items in the house. Our tour guide Ida Ellen was AMAZING!! She knew so much but was also very friendly and approachable. We asked lots of questions which she was able to answer, and it was fascinating to hear about the other types of tours done at the house. The house itself has been home to several families but one main one, through an intriguing period of history - during the time home electricity became available, before indoor plumbing was normal, and when all work was still done manually albeit frequently with the help of specific tools. Honestly I would do the tour again, and I’d be interested to do the other tours available sometime also. There were also some spots on the grounds we were able to explore before and after at our own pace. We were encouraged to take pictures or videos and there is a charming gift shop I recommend stopping by before leaving. There’s even a free little library with a unique feature on the corner of the lawn. I do recommend buying tickets in advance even though you don’t need to. Someone came in the middle of our tour and wanted one, but they had to wait. There is also a self-guided tour option but only when they aren’t running the guided tours. Technically the self guided are free but they recommend a donation to keep their historical work active.”

“Cozy café with tasty, abundant, comfort, breakfast food! Servings are pretty big, so you won’t leave feeling hungry! The staff is fast, friendly, and ready to make you feel comfortable as you enter the place. I had a question about one of the options in the menu, and the answer was given right away. My husband also had a question about his choice and the waitress went to ask before making it up. She was great! I loved the environment, food, and the so many choices and flexibility of the place for those with dietary restrictions. They also sell cakes, cookies and more with gluten-free options. I didn’t see any sugar-free options, though. Coffee tastes good here and they refill your cup as soon as it’s empty and as many times as you want. Prices are reasonable when you look at the size of the serving. We would definitely come back for more!”

“I have to give amped outdoors a big thumbs up for excellent customer service…..I purchased a 12v 60ah battery for trolling motor on my fishing kayak 2 years ago, I use the battery generally every other week from April to November, best guess is about 20 uses total in 2 years, I never depleted more than 50% and always charged after each use and checked voltage prior to each use, voltage always close to 14v prior to using, this particular time the voltage was 12.6v I put it on the charger it showed fully charged, I went fishing and the battery soon died after returning home I checked voltage it was 11v put on charger it went to full charge in 20 minutes checked voltage it was 12.6 volts……I shot a message thru amped website explaining what happened, I was surprised to get an email within a few hours they suspected I had a battery with the older BMS that had issues and they had already shipped me a new battery …….got the new battery in a few days and have used 3 times and it’s working great…..Wow !!! Highly recommend to someone who is in need of the Amped products…..Amped outdoors you guys rock !! cheers timmyp…..”

“All right, it's time to write the review. I gotta say this place has been one of highs and lows. I've explored the entire area, at some points it was not fun, at others it was great. Best side to enter from if you're an explorer like me is the east side, there's a good path to one of the best vistas in Hudson. The west side is also beautiful, it has a smaller and less hilly open field, and some woods with small unofficial trails. This side of the park has been cleared of brush recently, and it is quite nice to walk in the empty field. The lakes down in the middle of the valley are worth visiting but not really the others. I would visit just the east side for a couple hours but not really the rest unless you're dedicated (eg. you like exploring cuz this place is great to explore). Hunters, uhhhhh... idk what to tell you. Could you leave some snacks in the climbers? P.S Go there at night and stare at the highway P.P.S This place is really special to me and if you go you should leave a poem on a sticky note in my name”
