“Birdwatchers haven. Many species breed and live here, many others migrate to and from every year. There are 2 Pokestops in this area. I believe there is an outhouse there but no running water. Bring binoculars, and picnic lunch, make an afternoon of it, and have material for later conversations. Don't be a litter bug!!”

Snapper Prairie State Natural Area

Address: W7480 Prairie Ln, Lake Mills, WI 53551, USA

Park

“Small, postage-stamp remnant of the former Crawfish Prairie. Access is via a dirt road sandwiched by cropland, and it may seem like you shouldnt be driving here, but fret not. Ample room to park at the SW corner of the prairie. No maintained trails exist here, but you are likely to find at least a hint of a footpath. Once you make your way in, a surprisingly diverse prairie awaits, with many uncommon to rare species tucked away in widely scattered locations. The best area is the eastern 2/3 of the southern 2/3, if that makes any sense. Best time to visit, probably mid-May through Sept.”

“Great service at the Bike and Trike. We just purchased two Trek Verve ebikes from Jason. We’ve bought lots of bikes there over the years. Can’t say enough about how well they appreciate one’s business. And the coffee’s great there too.”

Crawfish Junction

Address: W6376 Co Rd A, Johnson Creek, WI 53038, USA

Restaurant

“Found this place on google as we were passing by to Milwaukee. Looked good and had amazing reviews. Service was fantastic for the typical bar/grub. Started with cheese curds. Don’t know what they were breaded in but they were so good. Got burgers. Super interesting toppings on top of a pretty good patty. So many great options to make it your own. Didn’t have any beer, but saw a great selection. Wish we lived closer so we could make it a regular spot!”
