Table Bluff North Parking

Address: Ice Age National Scenic Trail, Cross Plains, WI 53528, USA

Park

“An absolute gem of a hiking trail so close to Madison. You'll walk along the Ridge of a hill for a good long while and eventually get to the south parking lot (I just did this as out and back but I suppose you could have a two car system). The trail was in fantastic shape and there were minimal bugs. Great flowers along the trail. The trail was consistently shaded for those hotter days.”

Indian Lake County Park

Address: 8183 WI-19, Cross Plains, WI 53528, USA

Park

“My dog Suki @sukiyakishiba & I love coming here for the beautiful views. The dog friendly area is great to let your dog be off leash. If you decide to take your dog to the rest of the park for a hike, be aware dogs must be leashed. The best time to go is during the week as not many people tend to be there.”

Festge County Park

Address: 4894 Scherbel Rd, Cross Plains, WI 53528, USA

Park Campground Lodging

“A beautiful, well-maintained park with a variety of native plants that are cared for masterfully as part of a prairie restoration project. Lovely views, plenty of places to sit, fire pits... Who could ask for more? 💙”

Liebetrau Prairie IAT Segment

“Great trail, partially thru woods. Nice prairie”

Halfway Prairie Wildlife Area

Address: 8200 WI-19, Cross Plains, WI 53528, USA

Park

“Combination area of a hunting area, historical site, hiking trails, and county parks. It’s a nice variety of Prairie and wooded area with a lot to offer for the outdoors type. The abandoned homestead is an interesting point to visit, and there is a bit of history to read on public placards. Limited gravel parking, paved parking in the county park.”

Indian Lake County Park

Address: 8183 WI-19, Cross Plains, WI 53528, USA

Park

“My mom and I enjoyed 5 miles of hiking this afternoon (one 3.1 mile trail and a second just under 2 mile trail). We knew it would be hilly but also mostly shaded on the hilly parts which is what we were looking for. My husband and I have enjoyed the not so hilly trail along the lake previously both for a walk and years ago cross-country skied around the lake.”
