“This lovely network of trails is great for anybody looking for an easy way to get out in nature. Open to both foot traffic and bicicles on designated trails, it is an ideal place for being active outdoors. I run there often, and the outermost loop is just over a mile. Dogs are welcome on a leash. On weekdays, the main entrance on Camus Rd. is closed because it is across a school's playfield, but there is another entrance off Edgewood Drive and Tide Pl. with a small parking lot.”

“One of the cheaper places in Puget sound to dock your boat. Not much in the way of amenities though. However, they OBVIOUSLY respect your rights as a boater, and all other things being equal, I would recommend them heavily over any other marina in the area. I had to move my boat away because it was just too far for me (I live up in Everett), but in a year at Oro Bay, they handled anything that came up, demonstrated more respect for the boaters, and put fewer weird restrictions on boaters than the Marina I had to move to did in 1 month. Seriously, if Oro Bay is a feasible Marina for you, choose it.”

“Anderson Island Elementary School. This is a Muli grade (k-2) & (3rd-5th) split with two teachers .The school is a little like " old Muli level schools " of the past, while providing current up to date technology. The kids have small classes 11 -18 usually the average. They enjoy many different cultural and athletic exposures that you may not see in regular schools now days. There is a small cafeteria as well as a large gym that was built in 2008 known as the "Eagles Nest". Come enjoy a tour during school hours or simply visit the grounds during summer. It is impressive as it is quaint! The kids also have island bus service with a remarkable bus driver who gives practically door to door service.”

“I'm hesitant to post about this hidden treasure. It would be sad if it were mistreated. This park/swimming hole deserves to be respected. What a great place to visit. A short drive from Olympia. Great for all ages. Easy to access trails for a baby stroller or wheelchair will take you right down to the water. There is a section for young children and another beach for teenagers and above. The photos I posted were taken during the off-season. My two year old daughter was scared of the water until swimming here. She didn't want to leave. It is a very clean and healthy lake. The water is a little chilly and the deep parts have water plants growing on the bottom are a bit startling at first. But that is normal for a lake. Please come and enjoy with respect to the locals and the wildlife.”
