“My family and I decided to have dinner here after googling and learning they have 4.6 stars. We definitely see why. On Sunday closing is at 8pm, we walked in around 7:05pm. At 7:50pm we have eaten our dinner and dessert! The food was amazing! Customer service was great! Tessa is amazing! We are gonna come back for breakfast tomorrow! *UPDATE* Well we made it back for breakfast and we had the same wonderful experience! We had Tessa again!”

“The breakfast was AMAZING! Pancakes as big as the plate, grits are nice and creamy, and the sausage gravy and biscuits is a show stopper. I would say if you get this ask for the gravy on the side because you will definitely be taking some home and you want to be able to keep the biscuit integrity when you reheat it! The portions are so filling that its hard to believe people can finish in one setting. We came back for lunch and the lump crab balls were good, but the clam chowder is a broth and not creamy base which was different for me. Not bad, just different.”

“Great place. Only problem is the older lady who works overnights. As soon as anybody walks in she starts cussing and getting frustrated. She hates dealing with people. She refuses to sell me cigarettes and lottery tickets and she makes up strange excuses to not sell them to me. I always show my ID. I'm sure almost every person who comes in over night or before 6 am will tell you the exact same thing. Everyone else is awesome though.”

“Wow! I've never had a Mango con Chile and now, it has to taste like this one. The roll ups were vanilla base, strawberry and mango on top, which was delicious, I recommend it but the hit for me was the mango con Chile. The place is quaint and I was admiring the decor. What caught my attention was the drawings outside of the restaurant. When I go back to VA Beach, I will definitely be visiting this spot again. Next time, I will try the coffee!”

“They have a good system going as far as seating given the covid restrictions, we didn't wait long and arrived right at dinner time on a holiday weekend. They added extra seating by allowing us to sit and order food at the bar only railing out on the dock which was nice and had a great view but after a long drive it did stink a bit to not have a chair with a back on it because you sat on a stool, but we could've said no and waited for a real table too. The staff was very friendly and attentive, all wait staff serve all tables, so we never waited long. Chicken and shrimp tacos were amazing other than a few black spinach leaves that made their way in, and some bird poop (or ranch?) on the railing where we put our arms and plates. Overall fantastic and we will definitely come back if in the area again.”
