“We spent a few relaxing days at this wonderful lake house with three families with young kids (aged 3-9) and we had a great time. The hosts are communicative and helpful. The house and garage apartment are clean and nicely decorated. There are tons of linens and supplies - including lots of beach towels which was helpful. Our kids LOVED the garage/game room, which has a pool table, pinball machines, and lots of board games. It was perfect for when it rained, and for the adults to hang in after bedtime. There were many nice touches and amenities that made the property great - the beach area, decks, fire pit and water carpet were our faves. We would definitely return. The single drawback of this place is a very large house being built next door that is pretty close. But it did not affect our stay negatively and wouldn’t stop me from recommending it!”

“I have enjoyed my stay at Best Western. The rooms are excellent, wonderful breakfast, comfortable beds and a quiet area. Since I have a work truck, the gravel parking lot helps alot. I don't have to worry about someone parking too close to my truck and putting dings into the side of the truck. A great visit.”

“I attended a styled shoot at the Prospect Hill Inn and decided to make a getaway out of it and stayed the night. From check in to check out, everyone was so kind and helpful. I did the cheese platter add on for my room and it was so worth the little splurge! The amenities are as upgraded as a historical home can be, the room and bathroom were incredibly clean and inviting. I enjoyed dinner and their restaurant and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. I loved sitting outside on the back porch, sipping on the complimentary Cognac and Port. I felt like I was in my on little oasis. I can not recommend staying here enough!”

“Clean, nice, beautiful.... highly recommend staying in the cabins. They come stocked with essentials akin to high quality hotels. Wood areas and common ground are clean and will maintained. There is much wildlife to see also. With the various amenities and activities this is a great place to take an extended vacation.”

“We had a nice stay at the resort. It is a little far from Charlottesville to be able to go in and out but close enough to have lunch for day. The resort is clean and we'll appointed. The cabins are really nice and have everything you could need to cook and enjoy a weekend there”

“We actually stayed in a Yurt and it was wonderful. We stayed during the hottest part of July and it did get a little warm inside even though they are sir conditions. Hearing the rain on the roof and all the night sounds of cricket's and tree frogs was very relaxing. I highly recommend you try it at least once”

“This is definitely a sweet place. They've got a lot of activities and a large playground with an awesome air-filled trampoline type bouncy thing that is ground level. I can see young kids-teenagers really enjoying it. There was a beautiful lake with lots of fishing. We actually didn't camp here we came to see a country band that the campground had playing there. The people in the front office were extremely friendly and helpful and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. we scoped it out and have decided that we're going to camp there in our near future”

“We stayed here 11/11/17 while on a bicycle trip and enjoyed our stay at this homey B&B. Though the mostly gravel driveway downhill to the B&B was a bit treacherous, we were warmly greeted by our hosts when we arrived and could put our bikes on the porch under cover. We enjoyed Roamer, the house cat, and the breakfast was excellent. The Eagle's Nest room we stayed in had our necessary second bed and was very nice with a good private bathroom. We were grateful this B&B is here because there are no other places to stay nearby when bicycling.”

“My mom and I took a needed break and visited the Dunnlora overnight. The Inn is lovely. There are interesting and beautiful furnishings throughout. A good nights sleep was had on a comfortable bed. We enjoyed good company and stories from the owners over an ample breakfast. Making new friends, and feeling like we could chat on into the day, we had to force ourselves to leave. We're looking forward to returning for another enjoyable stay.”
