“The atmosphere is wonderful with with trains going by but isn't loud inside at all. Very welcoming as you walk in the door. There is a causal and fancy side in the restaurant. We went for lunch especially after looking over the reviews. Everything was great starting out including my Bloody Mary until it was time for the food. I ordered the meatloaf and my husband ordered the Iron Horse burger. Our waiter came out to let me know they had no mashed potatoes made for my meal. We had been sitting for some time so I knew our food would be ready but when said no mashed potatoes I was going to order something else but then asked is my husband's meal ready, which it was for him. So I did a substitute of fancy french fries with parmesan cheese sprinkled on them. I wasn't too happy as I was looking forward to the complete meal. The manager on duty did come out and apologize and said my meal would be taken off which was very nice of him. He then later came back to get our names and apologize again. The meatloaf was wonderful with flavor and my husband's burger was great he said with fresh hamburger. We will go back again as we did enjoy our time there and our waiter was great too.”

“I don't know what that lady before me was talking about, but the staff at the library has always been helpful, welcoming, and accommodating. The library offers so many great activities, classes and workshops. They have public meeting rooms. They have videos, audio books, and all kinds of other good content available. And they have so many things available to keep young children occupied while there such as a huge train set, toys, a computer with age appropriate programs, the staff even hide a toy in the kids section and keep treats for whoever finds that toy! This little town of 7000 people is lucky to have the great library and staff that we have.”

“This is such an awesome store with awesome owners. Every visit to this store is a wonderful trip. They specialize in train sets but also carry other toys of high quality. Today I walked out with two pull back vehicles which I was looking for plus two finger puppets, a bat and a lightening bug that lights up.”

“My family and I had to suddenly visit VA because my Grandfather passed. As it was a hard time for my family so Sharon McKenna was an incredible help accommodating our short notice need for a stay at the Tinder Guest House. The home itself has plenty of room for a larger family and a beautiful collection of antiques. The breakfasts in the mornings were delicious, home made by Sharon herself! It perfectly balances an exploration of history of the town and the comfort of a warm, loving home. If you're going to VA and are in need of a stay, please consider the Tinder Guest House. My family and I would not have been half as happy if we had booked a hotel. The comfort and safety of the home made the visit all the better.”
