“Good peeps all around from the entrance, to the clerks, to the VWAP downstairs. Good to show older kids also & introduce them, so later it's a friendly place not a scary one. Remember not to carry electronics to the entry or sharp implements. Everyone has family or a pet, hopes & wishes, long days earning a dollar, worries or fears. Good to remember that & ease back on judgement or learned bias. Where do we learn things? - From experiences, neighborhoods, personal contact, schools, friends, parents, teachers, print & TV media, social & internet media. Then ask if what you think you know is true. What can make that truth actually false? I've learned that what isn't supposed to happen in life really can. Shaking my head, no way, won't change that. Instead of running off, try just once to see if your experience can be a positive one. Even a dog runs from a resting foot, when all he knows is a kick in the face. Breathe & visit. See if volunteering sometime can be a need. Parking is easy, visibility is clear from Rt. 10 & peeps greet you earnestly.”

“I know this review may surprise some people who have dealt with chesterfield department of social services before. But I would like to shout out my case worker Josh Frank. He went above and beyond to help me fix the issues I was having with my Medicaid application. He walked me through my application to figured out the issue I was running into and why After finding the issue, instead of giving the run around like most before him, he told me it would take him some time but he would work on it and give me a call. Mr Frank had me convinced he would call me back. The conversation wasn’t one I had with a case worker before. He answered my call 10 minutes before his Lunch break and he stayed on the phone for a good 30 minutes patiently explaining everything so I could understand and give him all the information to help me out. Never felt rushed talking to Mr. Frank. 3 weeks go by and I get a call from my case worker. He lets me know he has fixed all the issues on my application. Also that I had been approved for Medicaid and then walks me through more steps to help me better understand what I need to do in the future so these issues aren’t reoccurring. Best experience ever with social services. If more people here were like Josh then this place would be running like a well oiled machine. Rushing people off the phone or lying doesn’t solve problems just causes people to go in circles. Taking the time to hear people out and honesty actually helps lower the calls to the office. So with that said I would like to thank Mr. Frank for all your help and time you put into my case and help me get the correct help I needed!!! Thank you!!!!”

I'm happy I made the decision to call. She was extremely pleasant and helpful. Although I didn't get the resolution I was looking for, she provided me information for a resolution when calling back my child's school. Thank you so much Angie! I was on the transportation website looking for contact information to give kudos but I didn't find it.”
