“Best dry cleaner in the area! Charlene is amazing and so nice. We always have a little conversation when I stop by. She remembers everyone’s name. She also decorates the walls with her photographs from her home country of Vietnam. When I first moved to Arlington I tried a few other cleaners that outsource the work and are really just a front. I looked at online reviews and found Old Dominion and I haven’t turned back since! They do all of their cleaning on-site. Charlene even helped make some recommendations on how to get my shirts done with no starch so that they last longer. They have also sewed on a number of buttons for me that I didn’t feel like doing on my own. My shirts and suits come out great. The location is a little difficult to get to at the intersection but it’s well worth it.”

“Chris and the family at New Forest Valet have been a neighborhood cornerstone for as long as I can remember. They are ALWAYS friendly and the service is wonderful. They treat you like family. I know COVID has been hard on neighborhood dry cleaners, so I wanted to give them some more of my business. I had an old tattered winter dress coat that was in bad shape, but still beloved. I took it to Chris wondering if the liner could be sewed up. Way past gone, they replaced the entire liner and did an unbelievable job on that and cleaning. WOW. Quality work with quality material. Looked like a new coat! Did you know there is no sales tax on dry cleaning services? So I saved a ton of money in sales tax through taking it to them verses if I had instead bought a new coat. Win-win: great service, no taxes, and supporting our neighborhood small family business. We searched Google and found Streamline Carpet Cleaning and Repair, had an excellent rating and were local and their cleaning products were human and pet friendly, which was very important to us. I cannot say enough good things about this company and their technician Travis. He arrived promptly at the time I picked and got right to work. He was friendly, informative and respected our home. We have never had rugs cleaned before as we always had wood floors. Travis took the time to explain the process to us and worked like a trooper on our very dirty carpets. “This place has usually been pretty good compared to other places that I have been nearby. They haven't lost anything of mine yet, and the woman working there is quiet but polite. Sometimes it is intolerably hot inside their shop, but maybe they like to save on the AC bill? As another reviewer noted, there are always tons of whiners out there who like to make an issue at every establishment they frequent. I also note that several reviewers are playing the race card when it is not necessary. This is somewhat surprising and disappointing for an area that is so diverse.”
