“This place has a great location! The staff was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. I’m a big patty melt fan and get one whenever I see it on a menu. Pool Burger did not disappoint. I will say, the bread was a bit soft and the jalapeño slices were a bit thick for me, but overall, it was a good melt. My suggestion - add a homemade spicy sauce! That makes every patty melt better!”

“As far as dive bars go, this really is one of the best. It's got cheap beer, with a few craft options. It's got a old decor and furniture, while remaining very clean. It's based around simplistic decor, while still feeling cozy. It's dark like a dive bar should be, while still well-lit enough to be able to interact with friends and staff. It's also in a good, safe location which is nice.”

“This is my happy place and it has been since I was a child. There is no better feeling than being at Deep Eddy in the hot Texas summer and spending the day swimming in the cold spring water and then warming up in the grass by the pool. Movie nights are my favorite and I’ll probably keep going even when my kids are grown as long as they still have them. I really hope it opens back up soon. I’ll be first in line to get in! There’s free parking, but it can’t be limited. A large selection of Tex-Mex plates to enjoy and friendly service with a nice atmosphere to just relax and hang out.”

“Great apartments for graduate students. They offer onsite laundromats and tons of parking. The buildings are old military barracks but they help to keep the cost of rent down for students. There are tiny parks for kids to play at and the courtyards offer room to play and ride bikes. The three bedroom apartments are off to the side of the Brackenridge apartments and offer a shed door washer dryer hook ups. The staff is great and maintenance works fast to fix any problems.”
