“Okay, first of all I must say that Mr and Mrs Strickland we're amazing hosts. They treated us with care and respect as if we were family. If you like historical houses you must see this place. The hardwood floors on the first floor or original White Oak. They have a parlor set up, they have a formal dining room set up. The place is amazing and appears to be historically correct. There is a wrap around porch with comfortable chairs and small tables for visits with friends. The rooms are very comfortable and relatively sound proof. They have spent a lot of time and money restoring this home. Even if you don't stay there please, walk in the front door and speak to either of them. They will gladly give you a tour of the entire facility. They have a pool, and a spa that is in a secluded Alcove. There is an outdoor fireplace by the pool that they always have stock with firewood ready to go. Seriously, if you like historic houses and b&bs and are in downtown Austin you owe it to yourself to see this amazing place.”
