Finding their listing on Auto Trader, I called CENTEX to ensure that the vehicle I was interested in, wouldn’t get sold before I made the 2-hour drive to take a look. They were good to their word. When I arrived, I found their great-looking and mechanically sound truck I was interested in, pulled up front, waiting for my arrival. The photos represented it well. Initially, I was taken aback when they refused to negotiate the sales price. But once they explained that they offer vehicles at fair prices -- and make sure that everyone gets the same fair deal, I understood the merits of this approach. Since the listed sales price was reasonable, I bought it. So, though unusual in my experience, this ended up being a hassle-free way to purchase a used truck. Wanting a grill guard and LED lights, they installed these improvements at a very reasonable cost, adding them to the purchase price. With this approach, they could bundle my upgrades into the vehicle loan, so I didn’t have additional out-of-pocket expenses. After I agreed to purchase the vehicle, they efficiently handled all the paperwork. Due to the expertise of CENTEX, they streamlined the process with my credit union. They got me into my new (used) vehicle quickly. Centex made the entire process painless and fast. No surprises. The CENTEX employees were personable and professional. From the manager who handled the sale and processed the loan, to the guy who quickly drove to the State office to get my license plates and facilitated the upgrades, to the helpful and knowledgeable owner, Centex’s entire staff were all stellar. “I am a mobile mechanic and a few weeks ago I was hired by young lady to conduct a pre-purchase inspection on a used car she was thinking of purchasing from this establishment. If memory serves me, I believe it was a 2005 Honda CRV. She had informed me the salesman claimed to have done a number of repairs on the vehicle and that everything was in excellent working condition. So basically, she wanted a third party to verify these repairs and do a thorough check of the vehicle. The salesman did not know I was going to be accompanying her prior to our arrival. When we arrived the salesman was very welcoming and was not bothered by my presence one bit. This is not always my experience when doing these pre-purchase inspections. So right away I was getting a good feeling about the place. The salesman was kind enough to provide me with a list of all the repairs and I proceeded to thoroughly verify everything on the list. Not only were the repairs done correctly, they were done with quality OEM parts. Everything was exactly how he said it would be. The car had a few cosmetic blemishes but then again, it was 15 years old. Mechanically however, it was sound. It was obvious they thoroughly went through the vehicle and replaced anything that was questionable. I was also thoroughly impressed by the salesman‘s knowledge of the car as well as his general knowledge of the industry. That young lady by the way, got a really good deal and a fair price on a used car she could depend on. I gave that car and this establishment a big stamp of approval. The car industry can be shady sometimes. I know quality business practices when I see them and these guys will be around for a while. I would even refer my friends and family to them. “I'm not one that stays at RV parks. I prefer natural areas. But, while traveling through TX we needed a place to stay for the night. We meet some nice people here. The sites are. at least ours was true to advertised very level and far more spacious than the online map. With pull through sites and full hookups. The restrooms and showers were immaculate. The pool was clean. They have a very nice man made lake that is tranquil and perfect for kayaking. The grounds and amenities were pristine. Good experience. We would stay again.”
