“Last November my father passed away...but in the year and half prior to his passing, he was going through dialysis at DaVita East. He hated the in clinic dialysis and was always stopping his dialysis treatment early. He choose to get the peritoneal placement for dialysis at home. Dr. Serna and the staff at DaVita East were a tremendous help and excellent support team for him during that last year. My husband and I learned from the nursing staff all we needed to know about hooking my dad up and taking him off the dialysis machine in the comfort of my dad's home. The support we received from Dr. Serna and the staff was immeasurable. We have been in contact with them since my father's passing with supplies (sterile) left over that they can use to train other patients and families with the peritoneal process of dialysis. We highly recommend Dr. Serna and the staff at DaVita East for peritoneal dialysis treatment.”

“This clinic is just awesome, new, clean and fast service. The best part of this clinic are the people, esp Dr. Perez, nurse Cathy, and kasandra, pharmacy people are great too. They were first at the rio bravo location, i followed them at the new location, although its far from where i live, because i feel like my family’s medical needs are taken care of very well. Now i moved out of state and still can’t find a clinic and people as good as desert sage! Very professional and friendly people.”

“I read some the bad reviews and I can sympathize. I arrived at the hospital in excruciating pain. It took them 10-15 minutes to call me in after I was called in they were very nice. I got my IV placed and blood drawn. I wish I could remember their names. But it took close to an hour for the doctor to see me and give me pain meds. It everything in me not scream from top of my lungs cause of the pain. The doctor didn't seem too concerned over my symptoms. He ordered a c-scan and again they were very nice, don't remember names. I finally felt better and waited for my c-scan results. Doctor walked in a totally different manner. He was very nice and explained my diagnosis. The next day I went for a copy of my medical history and the young man (don't remember his name) was very very polite and helpful. If I could rate the doctor separately I'd give him 2-3 stars. But I feel overall they deserve a 5 stars.”

I personally appreciate her bedside manner and opportunity to discuss our treatment options in detail. Aside from being a specialist, she is a great physician and healthcare provider. Wait times vary but for a specialist you tend to get in and out within 1.5 hrs. Give her practice a try! She is worth the time and your health.”
