He followed up to make sure I was doing well, adjusted my medication as needed, and referred me to the most qualified physical therapist for my ongoing PT. Since that time, I have seen him for my shoulder, and will continue seeing him for any issues in the future. He is thorough, and does what needs to be done, keeping in mind the best interest of his patients. “I have been seeing Dr. McGuinnis now for many many years for skin cancer. I grew up a redhead and time where there wasn’t anything you could put on your skin to keep from getting burned. Dr. McGuinnis is kind, polite, very professional, and has an excellent bedside manner. He is also very gentle wise and careful. I hope he never retires because he’s one of the nicest, right on point doctors that I have ever had! Every year he takes care of any pre-cancerous situations that he sees and if they prove to be cancer he takes care of those two I am very happy with this office in flower mound and highly suggest to choose this office for your every skin care need!”

“My journey through an entire year of right shoulder chronic pain with Dr. Ian was both horrific and wonderful ... and I wouldn't change a thing. He was always compassionate, always "heard" me, and did not treat me with a surgeon's cookie-cutter (same for all patients) tactics to get me in/out of the operating room asap. He tried EVERYTHING (and I mean everything - even stuff I've never heard of before - AND would highly recommend) to avoid yet another major joint surgery for me (my 9th). Ask about his cutting-edge brand new "OrthoLazer" pain management!! He's my all-time favorite surgeon (my 13th) who I have more confidence in than I thought was possible. “Wow!!! This practice is spectacular. Beginning with Chelsea who answered the phone and made the appointment to the very Joyful staff at Argyle and Flower Mound. I was in so much pain and needed help. I could not find any podiatrist available for appointments in my area and would have had to wait five days. I called Academy and they put my mind at ease. She said, "don't worry we will take care of you". I literally was about to cry because I was so happy. I arrived to the Argyle office greeted with joy and happiness. The doctor told me what we needed to do with confidence and the desire to stop my pain. Unfortunately, the x-ray machine was not working. They called the Flower Mound Location, at the end of the day on a Thursday, and they did not hesitate inviting me to their office. (I would have driven anywhere to get the help needed). Well, the staff at the Flower Mound office did not disappoint. They were welcoming and kind. It was clear they know their patients. Each time a patient entered the office the greeting was full of hospitality and kindness. (This was at the end of the day!) The doctor and MA were assuring that there was a plan that would help me. They spent time with me letting me know I was in good hands. It was quite clear everyone loves their job!!! Thank you all for your care of your patients! “Come to your appointment with questions because he will not give you the necessary information unless you ask. He was in my room for a full 2.5 minutes today, which is quite a lot for him. He truly needs to relearn his people skills. We want to know what is going on with our bodies and he briefly if at all explains what is going on then quickly leaves the room. I have an appointment in one month but did not know why or what it is about. His very nice nurses and other staff had to explain the reason as to why I am returning to see him. It seems that he only cares about you when you are in for surgery and when you return for surgery. Dr. Cantrell please give us just another minute or two of your time and try to explain in layman’s terms what is going on. Looking at pictures of an MRI does absolutely nothing for me. I am not an orthopedist and therefore can not analyze these images. I hope he and you all will take this information to heart. From information I was given the surgery was “perfect.” I guess I will find out. Thank you”
