“My sister and I had to relocate our dad from Alabama to Tx rather quickly. Maria Yepez and the staff all made it work seamlessly and as stress free as possible. It’s been almost 8 months with dad at the Garland Avalon and we are so pleased with their care. The entire facility is clean and on the few occasions when I found dad had made a mess in his room, the staff were quick and pleasant in straightening things up. They offer activities such as a one man band to dance and sing along. Games and arts/crafts. The staff is very gentle and kind in redirecting clients. My dad has Lewy Body Dementia which means he may not always be oriented but the staff are patient and kind. We feel very confident that our dad is being treated with dignity and respect at Avalon Memory Care in Garland.”

“My mother in law absolutely loves this community! She’s had previously lived in a place where there weren’t many activities and the food was hit or miss. Now she is part of a painting class, sewing class and other activities. And she loves the food! She has also met many friends and become so much more active and happy! The staff takes such excellent care of her and the residents. The activities director is so engaged and comes up with the most unique experiences and outings for them. My husband and I trust that she is WELL taken care of at Brookdale Club Hill!”

“This new building is large; it's really quite remarkable. The staff - caring, attentive, genuinely concerned for the welfare of their residents and truly engage with family members. The administrative team - quite knowledgeable and friendly. A few new ones, but they came in and have accomplished so much in such a short period of time. I have had to deal with most from time to time and they have always made time for me with any issue I may have. If you have had a family member in the old building and had to transition into the new, the one thing you do notice - a majority of the nursing employees are new also. The DON, Susan, has made it her mission to hire quality, caring, dedicated staff members. They are like a ray of sunshine. The building is clean - no odors. Housekeeping is always working. Rehab - 2 different areas - quite large and that team is excellent. All managers up front - extremely friendly and welcoming. These employees, from top to bottom, show so much compassion, I would certainly recommend them to anyone who has to make a difficult decision for their loved one.”
