The Cottages at Chapel Creek

After visiting several memory care facilities to ensure my mother would be well cared for in her journey through this difficult stage of her life, I found The Cottages at Chapel Creek to be a notch above the others. Starting with an aesthetically pleasing environment to the quality of the staff, it is evident management seeks to provide the highest quality care for their residents while also providing important resources for family. In the two years my mother has been a resident, I can verify the commitment to the best care possible remains a top priority.

This place is terrific! The caregivers and staff, the doctors and nurses, the layout and decor, every part is equally wonderful. First of all, it is beautiful, and feels totally different than the typical memory care when you walk in and when you stay here. It is bright, cheery, and full of life, instead of lonely and depressing. I have been to 30 facilities ranging from memory care, to independent living and none compare to this! Secondly, the staff from the top down is wonderful. The longer your loved one is there, the more you realize this. They are sweet, skillful and available! My mother has gone through ups and downs with her dementia to the point of being psychotic and even aggressive when they help her shower or use the bathroom or come out of her room for lunch or to take her medicine. Every caregiver or nurse that is dealing with my mom has been super patient and caring during any episode that my mom has had. They calm her and very skillfully figure out a creative way to help my mother. Time and time again! This isn't only every staff member, it is the management, and marketing team. EVERYONE!!! I have gotten to know them and they care for my mom like I do. And by the way we have cameras in her room, so we watch all the time, so this is speaking from someone who is actually observing this constantly. I can't thank them enough for caring enough about my Mom and understanding enough about the disease to know that this isn't my mom when she acts this way and not giving up on her but continuing to be there for her in a very trying time in her life. My Mom deserves that, and I thank god that they are giving that to her and that I found this place! Thank You Cottages! I love every one of you!

My mother has been a resident at The Cottages for just over a year. I am very pleased with the leadership at this memory care facility. It is clear that they put the residents first and expect the same from staff. I trust the leadership and staff to care for my mother in a kind, compassionate and professional manner. The expert chefs prepare delicious and nutritious meals. Activities are well-planned and provide a variety of sensory experiences for the residents. The facility is well-appointed with wide hallways, interesting and colorful art, and comfortable resident rooms. Family members are encouraged to participate with the residents and there are many opportunities to volunteer. I am grateful to The Cottages leadership for the care, dementia and Alzheimer’s related resources, the monthly support group and opportunities for families to spend quality time with our loved ones in a safe and caring environment.

I highly recommend The Cottages at Chapel Creek for any loved one dealing with any form of dementia. My mom has been there since March, and it is a comfort and relief to know that she is safe, well-cared for, and has access to numerous and varied wonderful activities (light exercise, sing-a-longs, outside entertainment brought in house, crafts, etc.). The Cottages is a beautiful facility which was important to my mom (versus a more institutional feel). The food is excellent, and the staff cares about each resident and shows that in all of their interactions. The fixed price covering everything is extremely helpful in our budgeting and planning for the future. We are lucky to have found The Cottages!
