“Porters is a first class establishment. They offer full processing services as well as hide and taxidermy options. They don’t do actual taxidermy on site but have quality, dependable work done through their outfit. They have been in business for years and are a respectable group. Just like ANY other business they make money. If you bring in an alligator for processing they will be forthright and let you know all the expenses associated with having an alligator processed. There are no hidden fees and they are honest people. Just like getting a deer processed. If you drop one off, don’t expect to pick up a free bag of deer meat once it’s done. I would trust them with all of my alligators and have been dealing with them for 13 years. If you are anywhere from Matagorda to Louisiana and need a gator processor, these are the people for you. I will continue to use them for as long as I trap alligators. They are great supporters of their community and all around good, honest people. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. As good as it gets.”

“I am giving this store 5 stars and this is why. I did some of my hurricane readiness shopping as well as a few things for the home. Person at the door was friendly and I was greeted. As I walked around the store I do a check for cleanliness, stock rotation, prices, as well as interaction with employees. I give the produce area 5 stars because of price as well as rotation and freshness. The bakery gets a 5 star for rotation, friendly service and display. Deli section gets 5 stars as well for the same reason. Employees are stocking as well as filling pickup orders, but never to busy to stop and help someone find something. I give them a 5+ star for service and a smile. The meat department and dairy section gets 5 stars for rotation, cleanliness, and fair prices. The pharmacy area as a whole get 5 stars for fair prices and rotation of stock. Depending on the day of the week and season, employees do a great job running this store very well when you consider the number of people that come in and out of the doors. The only problem I do have is the checkout area. I give it a 2 star for the reason that Walmart wants you to self checkout at this area more often. I don"t have a problem with that, but the area is so small and if you shop like I do every two weeks you have lots to scan. I now get a second buggy for my bags as I checkout which helps. Overall, I give this store a sold 5 stars because of its employees willingness to do a great job and also customer service.”
