“The location is clean and very serene. The food is excellent and accommodations comfortable. Yet I was still uncomfortable at first. I left far too much stress behind in the real world. I wouldn't have made it through beyond 24 hours if not for the staff and community. Im an "isolator" - I carry my burdens privately. Clear-brook staff didn't let me do that and i'm forever grateful. My counselor Stephanie G. was caring, accommodating and pro-active. She could always sense my duress and never hesitated to act immediately to address my worries. A few meaningful mentions - Keith made sure i didn't give up and let anxiety get the best of me, Sarah ran to my aid the moment she sensed emotional distress during a meaningful lecture. Joe Kane had me floored. His powerful lectures not only had us laughing out loud, but never failed to bring the most masculine of men to tears. These people masterfully cultivate a sense of community that was constant among staff and patient alike. Rarely could you pass another person with a frown and not be approached with concern and caring. I highly recommend Clearbrook PA. The program is rigorous, strict, sometimes boring... but nothing good comes easy, Rehab is no exception.
