“A very good condition AT Shelter. Would probably sleep 6 very comfortable, 12 if you squeeze. Pretty cool that there is an outhouse was definitely surprised about that. There is a very nice fresh water spring near by. although it would have been nice if they built the shelter a little closer to it as it is probably a 1/4mile hike over some rocky terrain to get there. Over all it is a very pleasant place to visit.”

“Very well maintained shelter, room for 6 or more on the floor plus room for a few hammocks. Raised floor helps keep the critters out. In front there is a log bench and a metal fire ring. No privy. Several nice tent sites nearby as well. Just north of the shelter, maybe 500-700 feet and right on the trail is a piped spring with a small metal basin. Just to the south, maybe 1/4 mile is a side trail called North View that takes you past a small vista.”

“We like having a suite, especially for longer stays. The living room offers a comfortable place to sit and watch TV where many hotel rooms don't even have a comfortable chair. The fact that the bedroom can be closed off from the living room insulates guests that much more from noise in the hall. I did notice hall noise while in the living room, however, and the outside road noise was also noticeable. It seemed to be less so in the bedroom, though maybe that was just my imagination.”

We ordered food from an amazing pizza place the hotel recommended who delivered right to us. The staff was very helpful in getting us some additional chairs for our guests. The room was affordable and just perfect for a low key event like we had.”
