“I drove by this place after it closed and was very disappointed that I couldn't pick up some chicken pot pies. Last weekend, I was driving down rt 15, crossed into MD from PA... And saw a market on my right, about 50-ish miles South of Harrisburg. The name of the market is Catoctin Mountain Orchard. I decided to stop and was surprised to see the Zook's pies in their freezer... Beef and chicken. There were only 2 of each left, and I got the last 2 chicken. I baked one tonight. I followed the instructions and baked it in my little toaster oven. It was perfect! There are huge chunks of chicken pieces, and it didn't run all over as I thought it would when I was cutting a slice. The crust was delicious!! The pie was so yummy! I'm going to get more the next time I drive by that market since it is closer to me than Lancaster. Highly recommended.”

“Dropped in to purchase a straw hat to keep the sun off my face and neck when working outside. Friendly, helpful service. They offer black felt and straw hats in many different sizes, including longer or shorter brim lengths, so you're bound to find a hat that fits like it was custom-made for your head. For the straw hats, there is an option to have a black ribbon band (offered in 3 different widths) sewn on for an additional $2, which brought the total cost to $20. Definitely a great value for a handmade product, unlike the cheap touristy stuff readily available in the surrounding area. All hats are made on site by the owner Moses Stoltzfoos and his wife in the workshop next door. Keep in mind that these straw hats have a very tight weave, resulting in a tighter fit which will stretch a little the more you wear it. Make sure to bring cash since cards are not accepted. The store is located up a private driveway, so follow the sign which tells you where to park. There doesn't seem to be any hours listed anywhere online, so I have included a picture of the business card from my recent visit.”

“I think it's overpriced, but it was a cute little tour. The actual buggy ride was pretty short. Maybe 10 mins each way? Touring the farm was cute. Our tour guide was the farm's owner. His pride really shone through in his presentation. I don't think I would do it again, though. Not enough bang for the buck.”

“Today's buggy ride was perfect, As we drove up John was waiting with the perfect carriage, with the stairs and the hand rails for my 96 year old mother (Florence) to slowly step aboard. Of course John was very accommodating with assisting her and guiding her " put your hand here works better. John our driver was very informative on sharing Amish orchards and farming practices. He pointed out a neighbor hooking up his Mule team to begin plowing. John had questions flying from customers as far as Norway and here we thought we were far away coming from Michigan. ". I was listening so intently I forgot the horses names. They were a team, that when called upon trotted without hesitation. “Fisher's is fantastic handcrafted furniture maker. The owner Levi Fisher works closely with customers to meet their specific needs. We purchased the Dover bedroom set from Fisher's last fall and are extremely satisfied. Lee helped to design a media cabinet which is beautiful. The price of each piece is considerably cheaper than similar craftmenship in furniture stores in this area. We have just ordered a new server and customized it with shelving.”

“The pretzels we bought here were delicious. They had a crispy bottom and buttery top. They were large and were only five dollars for three. They were very soft pretzels. We watched the lady hand roll them. We had previously went to the farmers market, and the Busy Bee's served MUCH better pretzles, along with a side of cheese and/or mustard for only 25¢. The prices at this place seemed very low. Besides the pretzels, there were many fruits, vegetables, and homeade drinks. Also available were many handmade decors. Outside, for 25¢ you could feed goats, and could pet the other animals. Overall, I would give this place five stars for the quality of the items, taste of pretzels, and hard work put into them.”

“I have been staying here for a few years. Only place I recommend to people. I always feel so welcomed. Always very clean. I love early mornings looking out to the field or feeding the fish across the road. It is so nice to plop down on a comfy big bed mid afternoon from shopping and taking a nap. Love, love little sink and plates, utensils to enjoy my local snacks. She always has drinks in the fridge. So many soft towels and generous spa tub. Gas, cozy fireplace in the Fall. Self serve espresso machine in dining. Perfect country breakfast for me. I can't imagine staying anywhere else.”
