Best Western Gettysburg

Address: 301 Steinwehr Ave, Gettysburg, PA 17325, USA

Lodging

“I mean, it's a modern hotel. Of course it's nice. Of course the staff are nice as well. I don't know what else you'd expect, but it's certainly nothing special. Hotels like this exist in every city in America, and quite frankly, if you're on anything more than a business trip, you should take the risk and stay somewhere that's memorable. This hotel is certainly nice, but you certainly won't remember anything about it. I originally gave 4 star while I was staying there, but have since gone to 5 star, due to their breakfast area on the 3rd floor. If you are looking for a conventional hotel in Gettysburg (while I don't recommend a conventional hotel), this is probably your best bet, considering that the hotel is actually ON the battlefield (surrounded on 3 sides). The beds were warm, the food was decent, the staff were great, and while I probably won't remember that, I will definitely remember the time I spent on the battlefield, and I think this hotel helped with that. I still recommend staying at a local inn, but that's not everyone's speed, so best Western is a safe bet.”

Lincoln Train Museum

Address: 425 Steinwehr Ave, Gettysburg, PA 17325, USA

Museum

“Wonderful, my dad worked on the railroad, I've always been interested in trains and it reminds me of my dad. Took 2 of my grandsons and we all really enjoyed it.”

Friendly's

Address: 445 Steinwehr Ave, Gettysburg, PA 17325, USA

Restaurant

“Best burger I've ever had! I ordered the BBQ Bacon Burger. Absolutely the best burger i've ever eaten on the East Coast! Bring Friendly's to the Northern California!!! If you want fast food, don't come here. This is truly an old fashioned diner. If you're exploring Gettysburg, this is the lunch destination!!!!”

McDonald's

Address: 517 Steinwehr Ave, Gettysburg, PA 17325, USA

Cafe Store Restaurant

“We don't eat there often, nevertheless, we stopped at the store near the battlefield this morning. The place was immaculate. The manager lady was as polite and nice as she could be. I noticed that she was that way with all the customers.”

General Pickett's Buffet

Address: 571 Steinwehr Ave, Gettysburg, PA 17325, USA

Restaurant

“Great place to eat and visit. Tons of options on the Buffett and the food changes daily. Lunch and dinner prices very reasonable at lunch. Awesome desserts and service always a great place to visit. Great gift shop upstairs reasonable prices and a huge selection for a little shop. A must in G-town for variety and southern taste.”

Gettysburg Battle Theatre

Address: 571 Steinwehr Ave, Gettysburg, PA 17325, USA

Museum

“Vintage history leasons of the battle. Neat to see how it was explained years ago with the old board and film projector. Well worth the money and time. The model displays of the battlefields were correct and had a ton of details that had to be time consuming to create.”

KFC

Address: 539 Steinwehr Ave, Gettysburg, PA 17325, USA

Restaurant

“Great KFC. I was worried when I arrived, there was nobody in the restaurant at lunch time on a week day. The McDonald's next door was packed. But after eating here I couldn't figure out why this place was one of the best kfc's I've been to. I will return and do recommend!”
