“This school is amazing. The focus on community, science, and the dying topic of civics makes its curriculum and inner culture rich. It is a small school where all of the kids from K-8 are encouraged to teach and work with kids in other classes and of other ages, creating an environment that blurs the age/grade divisions prevalent in other schools. My kinder adores 'his' 8th grader and looks forward to the days she gets to hang out, to read to him, or they do activities together. Grades take field trips together and work together on certain tasks and lessons, while then receiving grade specific lessons seperately. The entire structure promotes multi-tiered and multi-faceted approaches to learning and education that I haven't seen elsewhere. I have been really amazed by every one who works there - from the educators to the school aides and everyone in the office. The curriculums are well developed and promote and integrate empathy, diversity, and critical thinking. Families and parents are very involved (and are an important part of how the school functions). I can't say enough about CSCS.”

“Love this school, by far one of the best experiences that i have ever had in a learning environment. The teachers and staff really care about you and they want to see you grow and also grow spiritually. I felt like i was apart of a family that really cared about each other and would do anything for each other. Plus the academics are very helpful and really set you up for success. I recently moved and started in the public school system and City Christian really gave me the necessary tools to succeed.”

“Not me, bawling my eyes out as we leave his friends and teachers at daycare. Hands down the best daycare we've ever experienced. Each one of his teachers and the support staff took an interest in his life and his well-being and made an effort to put their very best foot forward everyday. If you're lucky enough to secure a spot with stepping stone, they're the very best of the best and I highly recommend. Absolutely exemplary. Big thank you to star, cassie, summer, Kylie, and each and every other co-parent we've been blessed to have as part of our team this year. It's not broken!”

“Elizabeth officiated one of the most magical days of our entire lives. 🏳️🌈 Her voice carried grounding, care and the warmth of her presence. She was extremely easy to communicate with and work with. Her personality is friendly and incredibly approachable and she made our ceremony feel entirely our own. 10/10!”

“Each week my piano lessons with Norm are fun. He’s a great teacher. As an adult beginner, I've been doing lessons 2 years and my progress is good. I'm learning to read music faster than I expected. Each week we work on new songs as well as review my favorites. Norm is so knowledgeable about all aspects of music. He really enjoys teaching. I’m always relaxed at the lessons, and we progress at a comfortable rate. There’s always something new to learn, new songs in different styles, blues improvisation, playing by ear. I really enjoy it all.”

“No matter what denomination you are: as a Christian if you are serving God, if you are Biblically grounded, and if you also understand that we are saved by grace- that’s what is truly important. ODCA does all of these. This school serves the Lord and develops children through His word. It does so through Biblically established values and at a low tuition rate. From what I have researched- the lowest tuition rate in the area. No church or human is perfect, and to tarnish any church’s reputation due to human error or sin is flat wrong. I have witnessed many people in this establishment strive to make a difference and lead others to Christ. That faith and leadership has been questioned by many within and also many outside as well. I’ve heard it all, “well so-and-so did this” or “so-and-so did that”. We all fall short, but the leaders at this school are absolutely dedicated to sharing the word of God and should not to be held to an impossible standard. As leaders of the church and school they absolutely have a higher calling and must adhere to a certain higher standard put forth by God, but the higher standard mentioned above is referencing the idea that they are free from sin. No one is. This school, the leaders and teachers within, the mission and faith they hold and share- that is without a doubt done so in the name of the Lord. There aren’t enough stars to give. My review? Give your children the gift of a Godly education. This school surpasses basic educational requirements. They assist with educating your child in the fundamental basics as well as providing a moral foundation that our children need now more than ever. Don’t be a divisive Christian, be the Christian that stands with any and all who spread the glory and selflessly strive to do so in a US state where Christianity has become endangered. Thank you Open Door for your service to the many lives you have touched. Give this school a chance, but above all: give God the glory.”

“I picked up my guitar again during the pandemic after years of minimal playing and no progress. Eventually I felt as though I needed more than just YouTube videos to really learn music theory and add more context to what I had been teaching myself. Samantha and Amber are not only amazing teachers, but fantastic musicians who are knowledgeable and eager to support their students musical growth. They have encouraged me to challenge myself by learning songs in a wide range of musical styles, educating me on practice ideas to improve my technique and they even provide opportunities to perform.”

“This school has been a pain on very many different occasions but I have met many amazing people here. I’m on my 8th grade year & soon to be in high school in about a month & a half. The teachers here bring on many challenges & some are not anywhere close to being my favorites, but I do have one in mind. Not so long ago we had gotten a new teacher in my LA class, & the teacher they had picked was, in my opinion, the best choice they could have ever made for that school, her names Ms.Thorne. Throughout our time together I am beyond amazed about how much she has changed my perspective of learning, & not only has she helped me a lot with bringing my grades up & being a better student, she has helped me get through my own personal problems. As well as caring for our future she also cares for our well being, she’s a very open person & it’s always so easy for me to tell her what’s going on because she’s so understanding. I may have not enjoyed my first two years of of middle school, & even the first two trimesters of my eighth grade year, but having her as my teacher is a blessing, & just for that, this school deserves 5 stars.”

“The teachers are amazing at this school. They are great at informing parents about what kids need help on and are falling behind on. The staff are fast at relaying information two parents and family members on events. The bus drivers are sweet as could be and care for the children like they are their own.”

“Our children started at DDDC during the covid-19 pandemic. Prior to that our children, ages 15 months and 3-years-old, had been at home full time. Initially we were a bit nervous to transition them, especially during the pandemic. These past two years have flown by! The teachers and staff at DDDC have become an extension of our family. Our children are happy, loved and learning new things constantly!! Best decision ever.”
