He was able to make some recommendations, even with regard to helping me get the most out of my visits with other providers, what to expect, what he can do to help, what he needs in order to help me best, etc. In addition, he was not judgmental or condescending, suspicious or antagonistic, and was honest regarding the challenges I'm likely to face, unlike so many other providers I've seen, who seem to feel that I must be doing something wrong in my life if I'm seeking mental health care.
