I drove straight over and was in the exam room within 10 minutes. They did X-rays on-site and the doc was there promptly (the time it took to review the X-rays). She said the pain radiating down to my ankle couldn’t be explained by a knee injury and asked about my back. I’m missing a disk there and had a prior issue with paralysis on the same leg from a pinched nerve. Her diagnosis was confirmed two days later when, stretching my.back, it slid back into place and ended about 80% of the pain. My knee is still hurt, but the steroids she prescribed are the best medical science has to offer. I didn’t mention I had quite a bit of medical experience/education. She made a very good catch. She’s very intuitive, which is critical for a good diagnostician.”
