I called Adler's Transmission back and informed them of the issue. They sent a tow truck free of charge to look into my issue. “We recently called their mobile service due to one of our fleet's engine restart failure at a gas station. Their response was on time and their bill (for the mobile service) was fair. The truck failed to restart and was towed to their garage for further diagnosis, but failed again because the issue would have to be resolved by authorized dealerships. They did not charge for their in-garage diagnosis, and it looks like they are dependable on their workmanship. Also - Tom, the mechanic who was on-call gave our driver a ride to his hotel which we appreciated. Thanks Tom.”

“This Truck Stop has clean bathrooms and showers. Well stocked and friendly, helpful staff. Laundry machines are a bit finicky with credit card payments and card readers are not well marked for which machine but work well once you figure that out. Arby’s on site is a plus.”

“Do they cost a bit more than other places? Yes. Are they better trained and more likely to fix a problem than put a bandaid on it? Yes. My wife had a local shop "fix" her breaks three times. Each time it cost less than the quote from Thayer, but the problem always returned. She ended up spending a lot more and the problem was still there 18 months later (plus three times into a shop). Fixed by Thayer and several years passed with no issues. My grandfather and father used to say "the cheapest option often costs you the most". Keep that in mind when comparing quotes. And Jake's a good and reasonable guy to work with.”
