“I have to be real first time I stayed here was nice pretty clean bathroom was clean was not bad at all but the second time wasn’t good I extended my night got my keys re made left for awhile came back to my room and my stuff was moved someone took a alcoholic beverage of mine out the fridge I had, and most of all what really did it was there was a BED BUG in one of my plastic bags I had left there on the table with some of my things in it!!!! So that did it sorry I definitely won’t be back!!! I’ll be at the laquinta inn next door they are way better and their prices are very reasonable and good as well!!”

“Free, primitive campground right off the Towpath. If you're not paying attention you can easily miss the sign. There are 3 sites - two are somewhat close together and the 3rd is off by itself a little bit. Sign in on the sheet, maximum is 1 night. As mentioned, tons of mosquitoes so bring your spray or a net. I also had a family of possums travel through my camp in the morning, so you'll definitely get some wildlife. The train runs fairly close by so if you're a light sleeper you'll likely get woken up. Please pack out everything you brought in!”

“After reading some of these reviews, I thought maybe it was time to share my review of the Ranch Motel. And I know this place well, having stayed at this motel at least 100 nights over the years. The owners are fantastic and treat me and everyone else who lives there (many people live there, and some have lived there for years) just like family. They are very kind to me and all I must do is phone them and they ALWAYS have my room ready whenever I arrive. The rooms are clean, and I have never encountered the issues that some here have complained about. I know for an absolute fact there is an exterminator who sprays each room monthly for these issues. Rules? EVERY hotel I have ever stayed at, and I have travelled the world extensively, has rules. If you are disturbing other guests or destroying their property, of course they are going to ask you to leave. If rules bother you, stay home where I am sure you also have rules you have your guests follow. This is a quiet, clean motel that is well run by people who care about the safety of their guests. I will ALWAYS stay at the Ranch Motel and am thankful this is a fantastic motel for me to safely lodge.”

“We had an awesome day here. We rented boots, boards, and helmets all were decent quality. We spent most of the day on the green beginner slopes and several people helped us figure out how to snowboard. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a cafeteria with good enough food and it's right next to the bar were you can grab a beer to help heal your sore tailbone. Highly recommended.”

“We have a seasonal campsite here. The owners and staff are always very helpful and kind. The other campers are friendly and very respectful. The swimming lake has several large inflatables that the kids love. The Lake Campground is such a wonderful place. It’s a very family oriented place. I was impressed that the lifeguards not only were alert, but they even reprimand people who use loud foul language. That being said, it’s also a place where the adults can get lose and have fun, but respect for others seems to be priority and it doesn’t get as party crazy as some other “party campgrounds” we’ve been to. My only complaint would be that the community bathrooms are outdated glorified outhouses. We have a bathroom in our camper so it really doesn’t matter. Overall, we are VERY happy that we found this place to be our seasonal campground and we plan on staying there for years to come!”

I do wish the management was better, and although the park manager, does a decent job, there are always those people that move in that just don't do the place justice. “What a wonderful hotel! We stayed only one night as we were attending a concert at the Blossom Music Center, but would have been happy spending many nights there. The rooms are lovely and updated, the bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The only thing that wasn't so great was the shower, but not a big deal. Breakfast was basic, but very good. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay again if I am ever in the area”

“Gayle was amazing and the house is beyond beautiful. I had originally booked Grace's Room which would have been plenty for me traveling on my own, but the Master Suite was available and as Gayle was showing me around the place, I decided to upgrade. It was far more room than I needed but I loved every bit of it. The art deco bathroom, the sitting areas, the closet space! I fell in love with the house and the grounds, as well as Gayle's friendliness and welcoming manner. Plus a great breakfast, too! Will definitely stay here again.”
