Ving Tsun Museum and Martial Arts School

Address: 5715 Brandt Pike, Dayton, OH 45424, USA

“The Ving Tsun Museum is the first martial arts museum of its kind! Wing Chun history from it's creation to modern day history can be experienced through these halls!”

Cold War Gallery

Address: 1100 Spaatz St, Riverside, OH 45433, USA

Museum

“This is an excellent gallery and one of the best parts of the US Air Force Museum. This gallery contains a space section, which I didn’t have time to see, and a military section with several exciting aircraft, such as an SR-71 Blackbird—the world’s fastest plane—and the world’s only B-2 bomber on display, along with the nuclear missiles that it shoots. This gallery also contains several other fighter jets and a radar that was used to detect incoming nuclear missiles. I gave this gallery five stars because it has several enticing aircraft on display, including the world’s fastest plane and world’s only B-2.”

Presidential Gallery - National Museum of the U.S. Air Force

Address: Riverside, OH 45431, USA

Museum

“Very cool. Several air force one aircraft are on display. A majority of them are open and have walkways that allow the visitors to view the interiors. The walkways through the crafts are surprisingly tight, as plexiglass walls line the aisle ways to preserve the contents. Wonderful exhibit. Be sure to arrive with plenty of time, as you may find yourself burning several hours and not even he halfway through all of the exhibits.”

Air Force Museum Meetings & Events

Address: 1100 Spaatz St, Riverside, OH 45433, USA

Museum

“Awesome. I'm not an airplane buff, but this place was great. It is much better than I expected. The planes are massive. It is wheelchair accessible. Friendly staff. Admission cost is by donation from $0-whatever you want. Planes, jets, rockets, helicopters, bombs, bombers, history, simulators, multiple former Air Force Ones, the least goes on and on. Suggest you plan to spend a minimum of 4 hours. The museum is spaced out over four (4) airplane hangers. 100% indoor. There is a Cafe upstairs with a small selection of hot food, chips, drinks, pre-made sandwiches. This is basically above the gift shop. There is also a smaller snack shop upstairs near the rockets. Much smaller.”

Sunwatch Indian Village

Address: 2301 W River Rd, Dayton, OH 45417, USA

Museum

“Historical archeological museum today everyone can learn from. It's a great opportunity for a stay at home moms to bring their kids to have an educational experience. I would highly suggest this museum for home schoolers as well. Perhaps this location would team up with the Tourism Industry for group/corporate events.”

8th Air Force Control Tower

Address: National Museum of the U. S. Air Force, 1100 Spaatz St, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH 45433, USA

Museum

“Very large facility with just about every plane you would want to see. The entire tour of the place takes about an hour and a half to 2 hours depending on your pace. Plenty of restrooms. Two different cafeterias and a gift shop with different simulators that you can also partake which does cost extra.”

Pretzel Festival Veterans Memorial Playground

Address: 75 N Walnut St, Germantown, OH 45327, USA

Museum

“LarderRoom...First time visiting Veterans Memorial Pretzel Festival in Germantown, OH. This town takes their Pretzels seriously. One of the vendors, a clear local favorite, had a continuous 3 hour line just to get a Pretzel. I love Pretzels but settled for a delicious grilled porkchop. It was amazing. Also tracked down some great beers and spiral Sliced (ribbon) fried potatoes loaded with cheese. Overall, it was a great time and for a good cause. I will certainly be coming back back! Note. Free admission. Beers $5. Food average $10-$15 and waters/Sodas $1-$3. Enjoy!”

Wright B Flyer Inc.

Address: 10550 N Springboro Pike, Miamisburg, OH 45342, USA

Museum

“What a fantastic place! My wife and I expected yet another Wright Brothers museum, but instead got this nerdy-fun interactive experience with experimental aircraft designers, pilots, and enthusiasts. They have a museum, but it's more than that. They have built two Wright 'B' Flyers are "look alike" experimental aircraft, designed to look like the original Wright 'B' Flyer but with modern parts and systems so they are safer to fly (they also take passengers up for flights...though we're not sure how or when they do that). They have two aircraft: one that is FAA approved for flight, and the other is still being worked on. They let us climb up into the cockpit and experience what it's like/take some photos. All-in-all a wonderful experience and just the kind of place you'd want to explore in Dayton, Ohio... I feel like it's true to the spirit of the Wright Brothers' experimentation and flying in a way you can't get from just any museum.”

Carillon Historical Park

Address: 1000 Carillon Blvd, Dayton, OH 45409, USA

Park Museum

“🛩️🖨️ and a lot more history. Volunteers/ workers here are passionate about local history. Large space with different buildings and facilities 🚻 I would recommend to allocate 3-4 hrs to see it all. Entry price 💲 was a little higher than what I think would be fair.”

Oakwood Historical Society

Address: 1947 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, OH 45419, USA

Museum

“Several members met us for a tour and pulled boxes of information from their archives relating to our ancestors for our genealogy research. They spent hours with us on our visit. Couldn't have been better!”

Mound Science and Energy Museum Association

Address: 1075 Mound Rd, Miamisburg, OH 45342, USA

Museum

“Small, but free museum discussing the history of Miamisburg's contribution to the nuclear industry. Also played a big role in NASA's space program. Kids liked it, some interactive exhibits, but mostly exhibits with words and pictures. Good hour long activity. Also across the street from Mound park.”

The Veterans Memorial Museum Foundation

Address: 123 S Main St, Germantown, OH 45327, USA

Museum

“Awesome museum with lots of historical artifacts and personal effects from WW2 and other wars. So impressed with it for such a local museum and very inexpensive to visit. Loved it and plan to go back as one day not enough to read everything worth reading.”

Mound Cold War Discovery Center

Address: 1075 Mound Rd, Miamisburg, OH 45342, USA

“A surprisingly nice museum run by the department of energy documenting nuclear research and production in the area. Worth stopping if you are visiting the mound next door.”
