It ended up being the computer system just needed a few minutes to reset itself after the replacement of the new battery. This was after 8:00P, and I was picturing worst case scenarios in terms of having to leave the vehicle overnight, something more serious with the vehicle being stuck in low gear, etc..., but I was back on the road in about 20 minutes!
