Magee Marsh

Address: Magee Marsh Wildlife Area State Route 2 Oak Harbor OH, Curtice, OH 43412, USA

Park

“Love, love, LOVE this park! The trail is a boardwalk that traverses through a marsh. From the parking lot, I could already view an eagle's nest! It's a great place to spot others species such as warblers, gnatcatchers, thrushes, sparrows, and of course tons of red-winged blackbirds and swallows. Highly recommend!”

Mallard Club Marsh Wilderness Area

Address: 8763 Cedar Point Rd, Curtice, OH 43412, USA

Park

“Most beautiful marsh in Ohio. Great for hunting in the fall, birding in the spring, fishing in the summer. Beautiful views of lake Erie and a world-class wetland habitat.”

Howard Marsh Metropark

Address: 401-621 S Howard Rd, Curtice, OH 43412, USA

Park

“Absolutely fantastic new park. It is a great example of how habitat restoration can be done and well. Since opening I've come back each spring, all the way from Maine, to see the progression. From the start it attracted hordes of birds and each year a greater diversity call it home. On my visits this year I was horned lark, common gallinule, egret and heron in abundance, terms of every size, white pelican, grebes, several swallow species. I could go on. This park is a treasure in Ohio. I hope even more of the Great Black Swamp is restored some day. It's worth out while. For the less birding inclined, this park is handicap accessible throughout and offers opportunity to paddle in pools. Just wear sunscreen as there is no shade to speak of”
