“One of the female Managers need to work on respect.today one of the fellow senior members threw my basketball because I didn’t get off the court at 8:15 (this is all on film of him walking up to me and taking my ball and tossing it down the other side of the court) if this was a younger member having there behavior towards a senior like that. There would have been a month suspension. Because of there ability I am a adult not a kid when the time to play ends at 8:30. He was older and tried kicking us over before the the time to play was still not over. He commonly does this and has been reported by other members to facility staff but they continue not to apply consequences to the seniors in the outrageous ways they act.The guy was harassing me throwing my ball and following me around, I begged him and others to get a worker to fix this misunderstanding, then once a Ymca employee showed up we where resolving the issue then the senior center manager started clapping her hands in are face and then lied to us about it being time to go only being 8:19,she did this all with being there less then minute and only taking consideration for one side of the story, then she out of no where calls the police with no one yelling and being physical. With this saying I would like to see a change in the way things are handled and that everyone should get the respect they deserve creating a fair environment. But with that said the other works for the Ymca manager building where able to back me and explain the situation that I wasn’t in the wrong and I’m very thankful for the way they discussed both sides staying neutral and defending a member that was just trying to play basketball during the selected time frames,they need to explain to the older gentleman that they need to get a worker when trying to kick someone off the court not confront then selves when the time limit is not over. It was all totally unprofessional in how the senior center manager reacted and dealt with the problem. This needs to be heard and review so that these changes in management structure and protocols change to make the y a better place. P.s even after the discussion of cleaning stuff up they despised to cut our hours and give it to the seniors even thought it was agreed upon that the senior member was the one that started the the confrontation.”
